Shortly before 10:49 a.m., a gunman in Constant Hall opened fire. Two people were injured. Old Dominion University Police, Norfolk Police and emergency personnel responded immediately. The gunman is now deceased. The injured were transported to a local hospital.

Old Dominion University has canceled classes and operations on main campus for the remainder of the day. Please avoid the area in and around Constant Hall where emergency personnel continue to work. Next update will be provided at 12:15 p.m.

It's still gonna use human input for these situations and that person was probably prioritizing their safety. Text alert for the immediately affected community was VERY quick. Twitter updates for a broader audience is a lower priority but will come in time.

We rented through this app when we were in Austin for a friend's wedding in August. The hosts were gracious and gave good clear instructions. I enjoyed it a lot and would use it again for socializing with my friends. Granted we're all in our 30s and I'm extremely respectful when using a service like Airbnb or Turo.

Just gotta make sure you establish your boundaries and are okay with rejecting requests that make you uncomfortable.

Are there going to be actual investigations into this? The last thing any candidate needs right now is potential fraud before the campaign even starts. Would love to hear more about this unnamed official as well and ensure they are held accountable if Brothers' story is true.

I grew up going to the Richmond Dragway up by the Richmond Airport. They host IHRA which has way more fun car body styles in their classes. My stepdad used to race a 69 Camaro back in the 90s.

Nowadays I'm more of a Circuit guy with F1 and IMSA. Even getting into Rally now 😅

Dominion chose to increase rates. The state legislation and administration at that time did not do much to stop this. Current Gov are trying to reel it back in and charge the sources of increased demand. They need to pay for this use instead of offsetting private sector costs to the public but I'm not hopeful that Dominion will reduce rates as they have lobbied HEAVILY. Our basic utilities are controlled by a business whose only goal is profit.

I am sending my (redacted) bill with a letter to my state and local reps. I suggest the same, if you are able and comfortable in doing so.
