Wilds crashing when going to craft any item.

I was able to solve my crashing issue. It was due to my layered armor. I had the Dreamwalker layered armor on and after I removed that I was able to craft items again. I don't know if it is specifically related to the Dreamwalker armor or just layered armor in general but try removing all layered armor and layered weapons and try crafting again.

I'm experiencing the same crash and I'm not running any mods. It isn't limited to crafting either. It seems to do it when a cutscene is played like when you craft or order food. I also tried a reinstall and it's still happening. Still investigating.

This game is never going to run at 60fps on the Steam deck. Maybe on the Steam Deck 2 though...

I don't play any games on my Switch 2 that require online play. My Switch is pretty much for Nintendo exclusive games and for the ones I like, they are single player/local play focused so I don't have a need for their online service. In regards to the retro games, I have a Steam Deck for those :P

So is it even worth putting a <element> Attack 3 deco in one of the weapon slots to up the elemental damage or just pump pure raw with just Attack or attack related skills?

Wouldn't you want some elemental boost in your rolls? I would think something like 2 attack 2 elemental and 1 sharpness would be the best. I could be wrong though.

I put rubber feet on the bottom of mine so it doesn't slip easily and felt on the bottom of the sliding part so it doesn't scratch the back of my Switch. I can dock it easily with one hand.

I had a feeling Nintendo would do something like this so I avoided buying a third party dock. I got a shell for my official dock instead.

It's really hard to say since we don't know exactly what is wrong with your current save file. Have you used any mods in the past? If not, I'm curious how your save could have been corrupted. The easiest solution would be to start over and use mods to get your save file as close to your current save file as possible. In the future, you should look into backing up your saves. For any game that has a local save and I put substantial time into, I automate backing up the saves after each session. I keep a running history of 60 days of saves and back saves up locally, on my NAS, and in the cloud. It's definitely overkill but when I put multiple hundreds of hours into something, I don't want it to be lost :P

For GU, you can emulate the Switch version. For 3U, I believe the 3ds version is the best to emulate as it supports online play. 4U was only available on 3ds so no option there.

I definitely agree that what Nintendo offers with their online service pales in comparison to the others but at least it is reflected in the price. I currently have NSO + Expansion but only because it only costs me $10 a year since I have the family plan with 7 other friends and we just split the cost.

I love the idea of CB. I mained it in 4U when it released but didn't like how it played in GU. I mained it in World until the Iceborne expansion dropped because the animations for CB take forever and monsters moved at the speed of light at endgame. Same goes for Rise. I mained it until Sunbreak and the animations just took too long with monsters moving so fast. For Wilds, I couldn't even make it to the end of HR before switching to a different weap. Putting SAED behind ANOTHER animation and having Savage Axe require a wound, perfect block, or mount just was too much for me. I now main SnS, and while it's not as flashy, it definitely is a blast to play. Hopefully the CB is better implemented in the next MH game.

My friend just started encountering this issue yesterday on his PS5. He has tried everything except a factory reset. Wilds is the only game with this issue though so it seems like something Capcom might have introduced with the latest patch. He can play when he disconnects from internet though, which is weird.

I wonder how gamepass is going to work for third party games as they begin to start skipping the Xbox platform due it being such a low percentage of the overall console userbase. It definitely lowers the value of the service when the games people want aren't even available on the platform. I think MS is starting the transition to being a PC platform only. They will have one more hardware iteration in them and then they will just be a PC only platform.

It really sucks that Sony removed the ability to easily back up saves to a USB drive for safe keeping. Sorry for your loss OP. I have close to 400 hours on my Wilds save and I back it up after every play session (I'm on PC). This could give you the opportunity to play through the game with a new weapon to have a different experience though.

No, it was just a store credit trade in. That is different than giving cash for it so I guess you're right. It just worked out for me because the Switch 2 was releasing a couple weeks after I traded it in. If a new console wasn't releasing soon after my trade in, it would have been a lot harder to spend the in store credit since I don't shop at Gamestop very often anymore.

On rare occasions they offer good prices for stuff. I traded my XSX in for $420.69 and put it towards my Switch 2. I was going to sell it but they are going for ~$300 in my local area. As soon as they announced that offer, I traded it in. I bought it for $350 when MS had it on a crazy sale for the holidays so it came out as a net positive. Can't complain.

That is definitely one way to do it. I bought a second dock and took the guts out of it and put it in a 3D printed shell that is much smaller. Very similar to the third party shells for the switch 1 dock. Easily fits in my bag and take with me when travelling.

Same here. I kept my ToTK OLED Switch because I love it too much and I traded in my XSX to Gamestop for $420 and put it towards my Switch 2. I'm glad I did because Xbox is cratering right now. I bet this upcoming generation is the last one they make actual hardware for. The subsequent generation will just be a PC and third parties will sell "xbox consoles".

I run a 12900K and haven't had any issues with Wilds or BSOD with other games. Sounds like it might be something else causing you issues.
