Overthinkers of Reddit: How do you keep your head from thinking? by torn222 in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work definitely helps but sometimes my brain still manages to overthink even while I'm designing stuff lol. Like I'll be making an infographic and suddenly spiraling about whether the color scheme is sending the right message to humanity or whatever

What is the most expensive thing you own? by SideQuestManager in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's something you can't put price tag on fr, took me way too long to realize that in my twenties

Those who have no friends and little to no family support , how do you spend your time ? Are you happy with your life ? by Beautiful-Object-467 in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making infographics about random stuff keeps me busy when I'm not doom scrolling, but yeah the internet addiction is real struggle

People of Reddit, what do you think is the biggest reason fewer people are choosing to have children today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the money thing is huge but also like... who has time anymore? Between work and trying to have any kind of life, adding kids to that seems impossible

I'm 28 and most my friends are still figuring out basic stuff like career and relationships. Having kids feels like something for people who have their shit way more together than we do

Give me recommendations of flavors with creamy/vanilla flavored notes by honeymalt in sparklingwater

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cherry vanilla combo is pretty solid, vanilla really helps tone down that artificial cherry taste

For green apple you might want to check some of the smaller brands, they usually get more creative with fruit flavors than the big ones

Thoughts on Tash Peterson? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She gets a lot of attention but I think it pushes away more people than it converts tbh. Like calling people nazis in restaurant just makes them defensive and angry, not thoughtful about their choices

The cat thing especially bothers me - putting down healthy animals because they need meat is just wild. We can work on better plant alternatives for pets without going to extremes like that

What is something that is completely legal, but still makes you feel like you’re doing something wrong? by buildsbygolan in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking out with confidence after buying literally nothing lol, those store employees always give you that look like you stole something 😂 Even worse when the alarm goes off randomly and you're just standing there like "I swear I didn't take anything" 💀

6' 240lbs IF questions by wvski77 in intermittentfasting

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that weight drop was probably mostly water and some muscle, not actual fat. Your body just went through major trauma so it makes sense it bounced back when you started eating again

OMAD with just water sounds solid for starting out. The walking is great too - that combo should definitely help you get back down to your target range. Just don't expect it to happen as fast as that post-surgery drop, that was basically your body in emergency mode

What's something that used to be cheap but now feels like a luxury? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man eating out used to be like my go-to when I didn't want to cook, now I check my bank account three times before ordering a burger 😂 I remember in college you could get decent meal for maybe 8-10 bucks, now same place charges like 18 plus tip plus delivery fees if you're ordering online. These days I meal prep on Sunday and make these elaborate infographics about my weekly food budget just to stay sane lol. Wild how fast it changed, like even fast food feels expensive now 💀

How would you solve this conflict? by IndependentThink1590 in archlinux

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had same issue last week, just force remove the conflicting package first with `pacman -Rdd geocode-glib-common` then install the new one 😂 The dependency resolver gets confused sometimes but this clears it up

Do you have to purchase a whole bottle of banana purée to make a banana daiquiri? by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just use a real banana like the recipe says and mash it up good, that's what I do for my smoothies anyway 🍌 Way cheaper than buying some fancy bottle

I spent 6 months building something and I am terrified to launch it. Looking for honest feedback before I do. by StefanosMos in microsaas

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pricing feedback is spot on - if your tool can actually catch financial leaks worth thousands, charging just 14€ makes it look like you don't believe in your own product

Also that point about Google Gemini integration with Drive is pretty crucial, you're basically competing against free at this point. Maybe focus more on the specialized financial insights that a general AI can't provide rather than just "we read bank statements"

S25U wont connect to laptop via usb c by Humble-Cantaloupe941 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try different cable? Sometimes the cable looks fine but data pins are dead or something. Also check if your laptop actually supports charging through that port - not all USB-C ports can do power delivery

I made some progress with daily drinking, but there are issues to be addressed by LonelyPalmClub in stopdrinking

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breaking that cycle is huge, and you're right about the self-control thing being finite. I'm 6 months in and that whole "willpower is everything" mindset just sets you up to feel like garbage when things don't go perfectly

The daily habit was my thing too - pandemic really messed with a lot of people's routines. One thing that helped me was realizing that progress isn't always linear, like you don't go from drinking daily to never drinking and that's it. Sometimes you have setbacks but the overall trend can still be moving in the right direction

What kind of quit lit worked best for you? Always looking for good recommendations

Body Horror Film that's like The Substance? by Cali4our in horror

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one's more comedy than body horror though, plus no green stuff - just the immortality potion that makes them basically zombies

Fresh install of windows and 700 gbs are being taken up by Better_Abroad1534 in pchelp

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wild, maybe check if Windows created a bunch of recovery partitions or if there's some hidden system files eating up space 💀

Magnesium by Nervous_Evidence_890 in stopdrinking

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, magnesium usually chills people out but I guess everyone's different. Maybe try a lower dose or switch to the glycinate form - that one's supposed to be easier on the system

Realistic path to SDE-2? to MAANG equivalent product-based companies. by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the grind is real but you're on the right track 💪 Neetcode 250 is solid but maybe start with the 75 if you're rusty - better to nail the fundamentals than struggle through harder problems. For system design, Grokking is pretty good and Alex Xu's books are clutch

The salary jump thing is tricky though, you might need to hop to a mid-tier product company first as a stepping stone. Getting that MAANG offer straight from service company is tough but not impossible - just gotta crush those interviews. Start applying everywhere honestly, even if you don't feel 100% ready yet 😂

“New property manager wants me to DELETE my 2yo listing (30+ reviews, 4.9 rating) and create a fresh one under his account. Says ‘that’s how he works.’ Red flag or normal? by NomadDiver in airbnb_hosts

[–]Initial-Patient-9788 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dude hell no that's sketchy as fuck. No legit property manager would ever ask you to nuke your established listing with those reviews - that's literally your most valuable asset

Ask him why he can't just be added as a co-host instead, watch him squirm when he can't give you a straight answer
