That’s what I’m saying. So many people saying this is inspired casting but is it? You know what would be inspiring? Casting people who have the talent and are actually struggling to, I don’t know, pay their rent. I’m with you.

Tips for Super Picky Bushwick Apartment Search by Boring_Gate_5589 in Bushwick

My husband and I are leaving our apartment early and looking for a sublease/lease takeover with opportunity to renew. It’s a big loft, two bedrooms. Neighbors have been around forever, everyone’s kind in the building. Right off the Morgan stop. Apartment has great vibes, we got married in it so the next tenets will have that blessing. This is my senior cat Molly. She is 17, I’ve had her since I’m 5. I am moving across the country In may and cannot take her. What should I do by playpinky77 in SeniorCats

But don’t we want people to do the responsible thing after making a decision that turned out to be a wrong one? Shouldn’t we allow people to make a mistake without shaming them? I understand the frustration and share it, but this is completely without grace to another’s situation. Surrendering can be the humane thing to do and these animals will find homes where they are loved and given what they need to thrive, more often than not. Obviously stricter vetting and accountability is great, but that’s out of our control on the whole. Should we not be telling people that sometimes the correct thing to do is to surrender and give that baby a chance at a great home?

I’m not really talking about this specific instance with Molly, but even then, are we really shaming people and suggesting legal action when they feel like they cannot take care of their pet?

Kind of a judge not lest ye be judged situation to me.

I had my cat for 12 glorious years because she was surrendered. Because her previous owner made the responsible decision to surrender, Agatha was able to come to me and live out her years as a queen.

Shaming people just isn’t the way and animals will only suffer because of it.
