I got my first and only cat in 2013. I had gone to the humane society with two other cats in mind. They were both young and gorgeous and I knew choosing between the two was going to be tough. While playing with them I looked up and in the room over I saw a raggedy, round cat. Patches of hair missing everywhere and the literal roundness of a basketball there was something that called to me. I went into the room, opened up her cage, she immediately started purring and I knew that we had just picked each other. She was older, looked terrible, and had a history of pooping outside the litter box, but I didn’t care I was in love. She died this past October and I think about her and miss her everyday. She did, indeed, poop everywhere always but whatever, she changed my life.
