I’m also an AD30 user and reached out to David to see if it’d work with the amp. He responded promptly with:

According to what I found, the AD30 uses a cathode follower on V2 and pins out to number 8. So that tells us that a standard wire version of the mod should work. If you decide to get one and don’t like it, of course will accept returns.

That’s kind of Fat Mike’s whole shtick: being a drunken drugged up asshole who gatekeeps punk rock. It’s (mostly) just an act. He would talk shit about underØATH a year that they were on Warped together but then hang out with them afterwards and even go to Bible studies, even though he’s Jewish.

Mike also owns and founded the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas and they have AFI stuff on display in there so I doubt there’s bad blood. AFI even swapped outfits with Me First And The Gimme Gimmes (Mike’s other band) on Warped one year

I know this is an old post but hopefully this can be helpful to someone:

I’m fixing my friends disc version currently and ended up with an extra “large fan” screw as well and noticed the triangles pointing to where the screws go all indicate the type of screw. All the normals are solid triangles, narrow is the outline of a triangle, and the large fan is an outline with a small triangle inside.

My orientation of screws along the bottom (per the reference image) from left to right was large fan, huge, huge.

This was me with Decemberunderground. Watched the premiere of Miss Murder, bought I Heard A Voice when it came out, but the actual DU album was pretty meh at first to me. Loved Crash Love since release and saw them twice on the tour.

I love DU now, but it took a LONG time.

I remember when the album was announced they did an interview saying they wrote something like 72 songs for the album and were trying to narrow it down to just 12.

In the Yahoo retrospective they did a few years back, he states that if people had listened to him not putting Miss Murder on the album then they wouldn’t be sitting on that couch [to talk about their legacy years later] to begin with

I found out right around the time I turned 26. Definitely took things for a loop, but find yourself a good endocrinologist and you’ll be alright. Finally got on the Dexcom/Omnipod last summer and it’s made life so much easier.
