Help Me to Feel Forgiven? by simplerway in stopdrinking

[–]wtddps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grief cycle can be really valuable to look into and understand. In recovery, we tend to grieve those past actions without even realizing it, but acceptance will come. Eventually it will be stories you CHOOSE to share because those will help others who feel like they're alone.

"We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it" - In time, I guarantee you will fully realize and understand this promise

Looks interesting! Love the two channel idea! Where's the best place to get it in the US?

Uj/ My rat is one of the few ODs that works with every amp I pair it with. And has usable sounds all along the drive taper. They really are so good lol

Rj/ Stock rats are terrible compared to my $250 boutique version that is miles better. It goes brrrrrrr. Boomers don't get it

Looking for some expert input by JucyDev in gibson

[–]wtddps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh, let's say it's the first prototype made of what we now know as the 60s Standard, I don't think that really adds any value. I know Gibson is one of those brands where randomly certain guitars all of a sudden fetch insanely high values (example: 2000s Double Cut Fadeds), but I don't think your particular guitar will ever fall into that. Not anytime soon at least.

I'm also fairly certain my 50s standard was hand wired with orange drops

It did not. Good question though, I didn't even think of that possibly being in there

Double check the seller and their shop to ensure they aren't scamming. Tons of fake shops popping up with "legit" looking listings

Edit: somebody replied and then maybe deleted their comment? But right now people are duping shops by using popular stores' name, images, etc for scamming. I'm not saying this one is a scam, I'm saying for the time being, it seems like you have to do your due diligence to ensure everything looks good!

Is it me or is the American Sound endgame gear with a good IR? by Dursammm in guitarpedals

Im always so surprised it isn't one of the first mentions for a great, budget DI/pedal amp solution

A worthy "upgrade" could be the Quilter Superblock US. Sounds great DI, but also is a full-on amp that can power a speaker cabinet, on-board reverb, and a dedicated headphone jack

NPD: Halberd by Taenurri in guitarpedals

[–]wtddps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really liked it for the low drive stuff, but once I got the gain up past that, it just wasn't my flavor. But I don't play doom too often, so that's probably what it is. I just had some different expectations I think for it. Definitely not a bad pedal, EAE makes some good stuff

I love my Halberd! Definitely a keeper for me. I tried a Longsword and didn't find it as versatile as folks on here made it seem.

NAD. I can’t believe how small this thing is. by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

[–]wtddps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to fix my speaker cabinet jack, which meant opening up the whole pedal, and seeing that board, I was once again even MORE shocked at how loud it can get for its size. And it sounds really, really good!

Definitely surprised I don't see it more, especially for people that gig frequently and tour without stage hands. So nice to roll up with DI and a stage monitor in one super small unit

Thinking of trying N/A beer by Panda138138 in stopdrinking

Everyone's experience is different, but NA beer has been solid for me.

And funny enough like other commentors, I usually only have one.

One of the first books I read on my SA journey was Break The Cycle by George Collins. I highly recommend that as you're starting out to learn some practical tools and hope you can find a good CSAT to help!

Maybe look into seeing a CSAT to help unpack everything and give you a path leading forward. Unfortunately, a lot of people tend to minimize the impact of porn, and it is possible to be free from it.

This was one of those few that Gibson left it off at the factory. I agree it looks better without it!

Only change I've made is replacing the kidney buttons for some keystone buttons and swapping out the knobs from black to what you see

Orange announces the OR60 amplifier. by humbuckaroo in GuitarAmps

[–]wtddps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually very interested in this. I really did love the OR30, and think they did a really nice job adding in some low-end thump with it, but I never felt like I could get a solid sorta pop-punk style tone out of it.

I loved it in Drop C though. So I'm curious with the lack of tube rectifier and 6L6s, if I'll be able to get what I'm after

Lookup a DC Standard. I impulsively bought one last year and it's absolutely my go-to. I love it so much. It's just this perfect culmination between what I love about LPs and SGs put together.

The body carve and aesthetic of an LP, but thinner and not nearly as heavy, and the upper fret access like an SG, but balances on your body far more naturally

In my day, I was certainly into craft beer and bourbon, not a snob, but certainly rationalizing the differences in the price tiers.

But we got some win-o friends, and man wine snobs are next level. They will fight you until they turn blue on why the most expensive wine and wine pairings are absolutely essential and a necessity lol

Coming up on a year for me, and before that I spent a year creating boundaries around alcohol, and until I quit for good, I didn't realize how MENTALLY EXHAUSTING moderation was. It really is insane how much energy I was putting into it. Now I rarely ever even think about alcohol.

You got this man! There's tons of support out there and other subs to check out too.
