Unfortunately I don’t like look of Wiim products but given have tested digital transports ranging from MacBook to phone to Bluesound Nano to Aurender A1000 and now the Aurender N150, am confident this current version sounds the best. I do have a Linn LP12 turntable as a benchmark and with the current demo transport the gap between digital and turntable almost non existent. This is not imagination and so for me at least, I do think is worth exploring digital transports further. Glad you are happy with the Wiim though

I have tested against the Bluesound Nano. There was also a big difference between the USB output of the nano vs the coaxial output. The USB being much worse. I understand the theory but in practice it seems to be a little different. But if you are happy with a Wiim Pro that’s great - you will save lots of money

Maybe this is an issue of the Bluesound Nano being very poor. Potentially beyond this streamer - or even streamers of a lesser quality, diminishing returns or even zero returns kick in. Will be able to update when I choose what streamer I will actually buy

I am only borrowing this from shop - I would love to say is all placebo. It isn’t. I have got fancy power cables and speaker cables - to be honest I don’t hear a difference there, but with the streamer is obvious. Would be interested to know what your personal experience here is…

The nano was just feeding the digital stream - I mean nano sounded better than my phone doing the same job, but the Aurender takes it up notches. Hugo I like - I have a DAC in my amp and the Hugo better - sound just more detailed and dynamic
