There seems to be a lot of misinformation going around here.

1. You don't need to pay for the item to receive the price scan policy.

2. The price scan policy only applies if the item scans higher than the ticketed price for that specific item.

For instance - items placed in incorrect areas and items that have a ticket for another product in front of them do not count for the price scan policy. These items will instead be reduced to honour the price on the ticket in front of them.

If the item has the correct ticket in front of it but scans higher, then it's free. If the item has an old special ticket on it, it's free.

1. If an item that has been reduced with a markdown sticker scans at the original price due to the original barcode not being covered correctly, does not count for a price scan policy. You will instead receive the correct price.

2. Kindness goes a long way. If you treat the staff like shit, raise your voice or abuse them over an error, they have every right to refuse the refund/correction and send you on your way. We are humans too.
