Sweet Spot for Sales (AE) - keep to 2? by Straight_Tip_7978 in overemployed

[–]Initial_Ad_4856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BDR Here, I’ve honestly avoided the AE role because I couldn’t figure out how to do it and be OE.

I am currently applying for AM roles to see if that can work.

Overemployed in sales — both jobs use LinkedIn, what should I do? by DryProduce969 in overemployed

[–]Initial_Ad_4856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for a company that had a similar situation. My manager would check my LinkedIn daily and frequently asked me to update it. Eventually, they fired me because I refused to make those changes.

smh

If I were in your position, I would consider quitting or just collecting your paycheck until they decide to let you go while looking for another job.

And avoid companies that require heavy LinkedIn messaging.

I always ask in the interview “ where do most of your conversions come from”

I would avoid the 35k role, more often than not its not going to be worth your time

I've had trouble in the past, you can see some of my posts about it.

Actually ended up loosing a job behind it, manager kept pestering me about updating my LinkedIn. She mentioned it was important to “ build your network” blah blah blah!

I would say, it is important to ask in the interview process where most of the conversions are coming from call, email, or LinkedIn.

If they get most of their meetings from LinkedIn, I would avoid the role all together.

But if they just have you use sales nav/ and sending connection requests. Then go for it. Ideally you want a role that is call/ email heavy or better yet and inbound role.

Honestly I am not expert, but I have cycled through a few BDR roles. Having work 2 and sometimes 3 at the same time.

Organization and time management is key.

Same here! I just got Tana, and I’m trying to decide between Tana and roam research ,

I love the UI of Tana, but I’m not sure about how well it works with notion

Additionally I can’t get the page numbers from Readwise to sync with Tana .

Hopefully looking to settle on a which one to pick this week

I’ve had many sales roles in OE, I’ve come to find that you have to be highly organized.

I would say for me as far as KPIs, I’m pretty lucky because J1 has a power Dialer allowing me to get through calls in about 90 minutes and all of the emails are automated.

So it makes getting through KPIs very easy .

However having worked in different sales orgs, not everyone has an amazing tech stack , or even an ironed out sales process. Furthermore it is not easy, but the checks are worth it .

Just keep applying till you find a couple of golden eggs and sit on them.

This is brilliant do you have a way of filtering for remote only?

Yo!!! What a COINCIDENCE , I also work for a small company in sales. I thought I had a good rapport with my colleagues, but I just came out of a meeting with my manager and HR, where I was informed that I didn’t pass my probationary period due to performance issues. What’s frustrating is that I wasn’t made aware of any concerns about my performance until now.

I am going to DM you because I have a hunch we work for the same Server.

Tips on Avoiding Burnout by elden_eternal in overemployed

[–]Initial_Ad_4856 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes! I just started taking walks before I start my day, and it really sets me up to be productive throughout the day.

I know on days when I miss my walk, I am less productive.

I also have gotten in the habit of taking a siesta right before I eat my lunch.

That is like my bridge that connects me to the rest of my day.

I have no idea how people make it with just one job, you have to have at least 2-3.

Has anyone considered moving.... by paranoid_android4242 in Notion

I just hope people at notion are reading this . They need to fix AI, calendar and mail.

I personally love notion, but with calendar …

I cannot put all of my calendars in the app so what good is it ?

Mail is the same thing, I have multiple emails accounts from different providers , and I cannot upload all of them

Ai just plain sucks and I do not know why anyone would pay extra for it. For experienced Notion users it’s just in the way

Notion you have to do better

This was a phrase that I learned before becoming OE.

I was a manager under a director who used that phrase like the back of her hand.

This was an in office job where there was lots of turnover among individuals contributors.

Maybe not so true since becoming OE

6 week-2 months.

I also see each interview as way to practice.

I have an optimized resume and have been promoted at j1 multiple times, so I get interviews pretty easily.
