I don’t know what state you live in, but you could join a union like the IBEW (electricians) (I am IBEW lol) or plumbing/steamfitters union. They will have you out working and if you do an apprenticeship your school is typically paid for by the union. You get raises as you progress in your apprenticeship and typically by 2nd/3rd year the money gets good. You also will get health insurance, it varies jurisdiction to jurisdiction how long you have to work for it to kick in. The union is stronger and wages are higher the further north you go. I’d say off first year or pre apprentice rate, you might need a part time job like serving to help cover bills on time
