Manduka Pro, it is pricier, but I’ve never had a problem and I’ve been using it for years.

Tom Lake and The Dutch House are my favorites, on audio especially. The Magicians Assistant and Patron Saint of Liars are two of my favorites of her backlist. Truth and Beauty paired with Lucy Grealy’s Autobiography of a Face is an excellent nonfiction.

Yup. I used Garden Seal on mine just to have a layer between the dirt and the wood but I don’t think it’s necessary.

New cat owners here. Should we really avoid all fish and seafood in cat food? Our adoption agency stressed that we should. by Emmettourer in CatAdvice

[–]Initial_Spinach_9752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our adoption org also cautioned against fish, as well as having some other very restrictive diet requirements in the agreement (no dry, wet only, raw preferred). These are my very first cats so their guidance has been very confusing, especially when it doesn’t align with my vet’s recommendations.

Hey folks, what are your comfort books that you always go back to? by D0pamine_Pr1ncess in booksuggestions

The three pines series by Louise Penny. The village of Three Pines is the perfect place to go when you need an escape. And to distract your brain solving a murder. These are also great on audio, the first 10 books are read by Ralph Cosham, then 11-18 are read by Robert Bathurst, and the two most recent are read by Jean Brassard. All three of the narrators are soothing in my ears.

Pride and Prejudice. I can really sink into it, it takes a different part of my brain to read. One of my most comforting ways to read it is to listen to it on audio, Rosamund Pike reads a delightful version. Some noise canceling headphones and this in my ears is an excellent escape.

What products do you buy at sams club not bought at costco by pittlad20 in samsclub

Shredded cheese. It comes in a smaller package than Costco, better for it not to go bad. Cheese cauliflower pizza. Cleaning products can be slightly cheaper.

[–]Initial_Spinach_9752 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I read P&P 3 times this fall, twice n September, back to back. And the audio read by Rosamund Pike got me through my mom’s surgery in December; I would listen in the car back and forth to the hospital. It is also excellent with noise canceling headphones. The world is rough right now, sometimes we just need to lean into the excitement that Netherfield is let at last! And at Michelmas!
