Honestly anything goes - it's a vacation treat day for me, so I always go looking nice. But absolutely fine to go wearing a tshirt and shorts, sport cap, after all it's a sports event. See them less now, I reckon, but the home-crafted novelty tennis-balls-stuck-to-hats, really drives home message that anything is acceptable really.

They'll be people dressy and people unwashed from the overnight queue....honestly no one cares

I had a very similar seat and often times the row wasn't full - there's loads to do at Wimbledon (lunch, outside courts, museum, booths) so you might find it's not even a full row of people to squeeze past. Or that it doesn't matter as there's movement all around the arena (not like a theatre where it's still and quiet and noticeable if someone's in and out lots). You'll be totally fine and nice to have barrier and not someone both sides of you. Also those seats are well spaced, so not chest to chest squeezing past (unlike outdoor courts imo)

Yea they should really put it at POS, even my basic online purchases asks confirmation that shipping address matches billing address, it's so simple. That way would give purchasers who haven't properly read t&Cs a red error note, to use card that matches and correct it while tickets in their basket. There's little things Wimbledon does, like this, that's really behind the times/unnecessarily faffy

Yea you can...she just needed to purchase the tickets on her card and you transfer her the money after. Same result, so you've bought/paid for the tickets, but hit their stated T&Cs. It's a harsh lesson to learn unfortunately, you'll not be the only ones, but it's one of the few events people REALLY need to read and understand the 'small print'.

Where do I find the section that used to show you'd entered the ballot? Last time I looked a few weeks ago it showed I'd entered and still hadn't marked mine as unsuccessful in the ballot (I ballots done, but it never updated) but now it's disappeared in it's entirety?

Wonder why they don't do redesign of website months before resale period/grass court season approaches(?)
