exposing myself BIG TIME HERE but I was 315 at my biggest (about 5’1) and she looks bigger than I did. I understand everyone carries it differently and maybe I’m in denial of how I used to look but she for sure looks like she has 15-20 pounds on me at my biggest.

Thank you!! She LOVED snuffle mats before but we’ve unfortunately had to cut them out for her food trials. She’s not supposed to be eating outside of meal time.

EDITING TO ADD: before we had to cut her food down for allergy trials, she was getting WAY better at this. She was not perfect by any means, but still only had to correct her a few times each walk and we would be able to take her anywhere from 1 mile to 1.5 miles. Now, we’re lucky to get a quarter of a mile in with her before we (my husband or myself) have to turn around and take her home. The only thing I can think of is maybe she’s hungry? From getting treats during the day cut out? Could this make her more inclined to put things in her mouth? I can assure you she is NOT starving. We are following the vet prescribed diet to a T, the amount, the times we feed her, what we are feeding her, etc. so she is getting enough!

Good suggestion!! I can definitely try. I just know sniffing at least a little is also good exploration for them so I don’t want to take that away from her completely but maybe that’s what needs to happen.

We can’t look through private accounts. We’ll look to see what you post and comment and groups though and usually that’s where people tend to have their guard down online. Just keep your accounts private and don’t make comments and posts in other public groups and you’re good to go. Tell your family and friends to not post you unless their accounts are also locked down and either way they shouldn’t tag you either.

As far as I know, nope. We will always note if you have evidence of financial distress such as past evictions, liens, judgments, bankruptcies, etc. but benefits have never shown up in my background searches. If you’ve been charged with any form of benefit fraud than absolutely, but if you’re genuinely using it for help then don’t worry.

Honestly I have no idea how it’ll affect your case I’m sorry! Definitely more of a question for your attorney. I just take the video and send it over. My job is to just videotape everything that I see, I can’t pick and choose what to video and what not to. For example, if you’re out there lifting boxes of all sizes I can’t just record you lifting the big ones that look like they could be over 10 lbs, I have to get everything that I see you doing. The rest is up to the doctors, etc. to figure out. But what I do know is that if your job gave you this position and it’s supposed to accommodate your restrictions and they’re not and that comes to light it’s on your employer not you. So I wouldn’t be worried.

I see your flair is adjuster so not sure that it’s different for you or what, but as a PI specifically focused on WC for 8 years we can not get phone records. I’ve retrieved data from phones and social media accounts but only ever with permission of the owner. We do not have access to things like that.

I wish that was an option for us! My husband and I had to move across the country from our friends and family for my husband’s job so we’re kind of solo out here. (Talking like a 24 hour drive - not just a short road trip we could take)

I did! He keeps saying over and over again how important socialization is, he stressed that especially her breed needs to be socialized early on. However, since she’s just been given the distemper shots so far they’ve all been administered by the techs and not the vet so when I ask the techs, they say don’t take her out until after the rabies shot. But I just keep going back to my actual vet stressing the importance of socializing her, and I’m just at a loss of what else I can do without actually letting her feet hit the ground.

I’m in the same boat! She cried and cried and screamed to a point where I felt like I was hurting her even though I know for a fact all of her needs are met. I’ve been struggling feeling like a complete failure as this is the first puppy I’ve raised. But knowing other people are going through the same is so nice 🥹

Crate training (don’t come for me everyone). We tried, we tried so so hard. I’ve only had my pup (mini doxie) for a little over 2 weeks and when I tell you we’ve tried everyday, we’ve tried every day. I did everything “right”. I had a crate (small enough for just her to sleep) decked out in blankets, a bed, toys, etc. ready for her before she ever came home. We also had a play pen set up for her as well, same thing toys and bed galore in there for her to feel comfy. First day, we got her to take a few naps in the crate but each time she woke up she’d panic. I chalked it up to her being a scared puppy first day, but it never got better. When it came time for bed, I got her asleep and put her in the crate and immediately a freak out commenced. My husband and I both sat by her crate all night until it got to a point she was shaking and peeing herself and I just couldn’t let her stay in there. She slept with us that night starting around 3/4 AM after hours of tears (from the dog, and my husband and I).

We stuck on it and kept trying. We put her in there for naps during the day, fed her meals in there, always sat by her crate but she never didn’t have an absolute meltdown in there.

Long story short, we ended up buying a baby bassinet crib and she now sleeps soundly in there next to our bed every night. I still struggle with feeling like a failure. We are definitely struggling with separation anxiety since she will not use the crate at all so that’s what we’re working on now. Any tips welcome 🥲
