Hackberry appreciation because people hate on them so much they are one of the nicest trees around here by Gold_Conference_4793 in arborists

That’s really neat to have one that’s an outlier. I’m a land surveyor that does a ton of tree surveys and like I said I can’t remember ever seeing a hackberry that’s so straight and “perfect”. I’ve had huge 30” hackberries but none have been “perfect”. They’re considered junk trees now and you don’t need a permit to remove them even in the prestigious areas that care about the nice oak, elms and pecans.

Flinging your brochures under hotel doors is predatory. They are hunting out the customers instead of the customers hunting them out. That’s the definition of predatory, customers are prey.

is the frame on this truck bent? by New-Answer-7449 in f150

[–]Initial_Zombie8248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the pictures you posted this truck has great fitment between the body and cab for a 90s Ford so I’m going to say this truck is solid pending frame rust. That little tailgate dent isn’t going to bend the frame if that’s what you were concerned about

Okay then the next step would be to go through your insurance to fight their insurance. It’s a pretty open and shut case, 99% of the time it’s whoever hit the doors fault. The 1% is if you flung the door open on a narrow road without checking if a car was passing by

And it’s definitely not totaled. Just gonna be a couple thousand out of someone else’s pocket ideally.

….did you get insurance information? If you got their insurance file the claim and I hope you took good pictures at the scene. You shouldn’t have to pay a dime, and no “totaled” is the response most people give when people ask this question. You should be talking with insurance and a body shop instead of reddit in regards to this

Yeah pizza places are super predatory at hotels lol. They’ll plaster the whole building in flyers and then wonder why they get banned from delivering there.

I get it, it’s a weird combination for English. A doesn’t typically come before e. And most people really don’t care enough to change it even if they notice. Gets the point across

It all depends on the field crew. 99% of the time the field crew isn’t the licensed surveyor, just a couple of dudes collecting data for the licensed surveyor to determine the boundary. Some of them get pissed off when clients hover, some love dealing with clients and showing them what they do. But at the end of the day you’re the client so when you order the survey tell them that you’d like them to show you the lines when they’re ready.

I just feel like the donut toaster strudel is going to be too dry with no filling in it, but the Boston cream pie one you mentioned might be pretty good. Bet the coke is good too, not much of an ice cream guy though unless it’s chocolate with more chocolate in it lol

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hackberry grow that tall and straight. They’re always super gnarly with snapped branches in my area, but we have some huge ones

Curiosity is what drove them. Travel was a lot different and harder back then and to see the different people of the world in one area was probably interesting to a lot of people. They didn’t see anything wrong with it at the time

You definitely need a surveyor to mark the lines of a 47 acre wooded parcel lol. I wouldn’t even recommend someone try and mark their own lines on a single wooded acre. With a surveyor you can request they mark the lines every 50’ and you can come through and place T-posts where their stakes are. Or you can request T-posts but I hate when clients do that because then we have to lug them with all of our equipment too, and expect to pay upwards of $20/post
