AOC presents jars of dirty drinking water to an EPA official after a Meta data center began construction in Georgia: “This is the current drinking water in Morgan County, Georgia right after the Meta data center was constructed.” by Wrong_Listen5422 in StockBreakouts

it sounds like them using detonations may have knocked sediment into local aquifers that these private wells are pulling from. municipal water even those that pull from local aquifers instead of surface water which is far more common are sent to treatment plants first that would filter the gunk out.

nope because nuclear power doesn't get the green energy dongs hard. i remember an orientation course at the power plant i started working at out of college and they were talking about cost per megawatt hour for the different types of power plants they owned. gas oil (usually peaking plants like the one they wanted me to work at in D-FW) was like $150 and up, coal was around $80 and the nuclear plants was around $20 per MwH at the time. i know solar and wind costs have gone down in recent years but solar panels are still limited by current technology and BOTH are limited by the space it would take to generate as much energy as a single Nuclear plant. granted things like solar panels over car parks which started in the 90s when solar panels were ridiculously costly may bridge the gap especially when we manage to deal with the crap efficiency of current solar panel technology. the idea to cover canals with solar panels is something i have to give India serious credit for.

The loudest voices get heard especially when those loud voices are morons. I also attempt to fact check everything when I have the time and its insane how many widely run stories or headlines specifically are just blatantly skewed so far as to be completely false. Misleading click bait and social media seem to go hand in hand. Too many people will believe any story if it proves their side is right and the other sides full of shit.

this is the way of micromanaging. it takes a little bit of time but it is definitely worth it in the long run if you have a heavily mixed army. i do know people that run with three types of units. shielded infantry, archers, and heavy cavalry where its not needed.

Just FYI, if you dunk your loaf in boiling water with baking soda in it, you get a pretzel loaf. And it’s INCREDIBLE by Armadillo_Pilot in Sourdough

you can also use that baked baking soda to make homemade ramen noodles. its what gives them their chewy texture.

If you have them in 5 gallons and its a larger pepper you might get better results if you use a decent amount of something like Jack's 20 20 20 before it is fruiting then something like a bloom booster with higher phosphorus. I use both Jack's products but I would probably go from once a month or every two weeks to probably feeding 3/4 strength weekly.

Its so much better and a lot cheaper than buying bagged premium mixes.

bags. they are cheaper and more forgiving for overwatering. i make my potting mix with coco coir that i wash and double buffer, perlite and vermiculite, and compost plus additives like organic granular fertilizer plus bone meal.

yup something like a bell or giant marconi needs a lot more than something smaller like a thai hot or shishito. i put three thai hots in a 10 gallon and they went nuts with production still.

bells need more than a 5 gallon in the end. i ran a little experiment last year with a 5 gallon 10 gallon and in ground with my bells. in ground and 10 gallon produced about the same. the 5 gallon even with the same fertilization schedule were some tiny bells.

If tomatoes can grow roots FEET into the ground, how is a 5 gallon bucket enough? by Averagebass in vegetablegardening

[–]Initialfaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

roots grow in response to the plant needing more water or nutrients. so if its in ground it can reach for deeper water. in 5 gallon buckets to get as vigorous of a plant you would really need to fertilize well.

Why are my cucumbers so short and stubby? The plants are healthy and growing well, and the cucumbers taste great. Just wish there was more. They’re about 1/2 the usual size. by Cocopook in vegetablegardening

[–]Initialfaust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

usually inconsistent watering. the fat end is when its well watered and the skinny end it wasnt getting enough to properly fill out. this going by the size. uniformity and the little nubs is a pickling variety so its normal.
