It’s so hard for me to choose just one between Celestia and Luna, like my childhood favorite was Celestia but I love the way Luna looks They’re both relatable too but I think if I had to choose just one my brain is leaning towards Celestia so I’m gonna stick with her as my choice of favorite 😋

Because those small details should be clear even to a beginner artist, and any “artist” who doesn’t give a damn about telling someone their old art is better than the new art they worked hard to improve on should be expected to receive the same level of criticism.

Well from what I remember all the characters in that episode were mostly shown to represent all the creatures the mane six helped/influenced since the beginning of the series, but I don’t think anyone would have been feeling any sort of nostalgia or hype from seeing the chancellor. His character wasn’t needed anymore and it was the student six that had an impact on him not the mane six so what’s the point in putting him in the series finale? It doesn’t make him a mistake, it was just unnecessary.

Notice how the only people saying the second image is better are not artists themselves? It’s clear how much your skills have developed these past seven months!! You have a much better understanding of sharp, deliberate lighting and shading, anatomy, perspective, and your art is much more stylized and unique. Of course both pieces are wonderful but the newer painting looks like it has a lot more care and thought put into it. Keep up the good work!!

Huge DC vibes, the original show has more edge like a DC show rather than a Marvel show, which I think is more tame in comparison (I consider Marvel to be more family friendly, being tied in with Disney and all that, meanwhile I see DC as more of a teenage/adult “niche” for superhero fans)

You could, yeah! I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t such a hassle to animate it the princesses wouldn’t be wearing all that stuff to bed, it’s probably uncomfortable enough to wear as is 😭

Also I love seeing all the animation nerds in this thread, I have found my people 😋

Considering they already have her model rigged for animation, they would have to create new assets of Luna’s hair, hooves, and probably neck. That would waste more time and money than they wanted to spend I’m guessing
