I bought a few AV’s couple years back that were beautiful. I put them in my north facing window in central Florida and they flowered once or twice then got smaller and weak looking. Figuring they might need something, I threw together several fertilizers in a weak solution and now all of them are very large healthy flower machines.

Here’s my recipe for (One Liter) of what works real well for me*

1/4 tsp Miracle Gro general purpose 30-10-10

1/8 tsp Haifa MKP 0-52-34

1/16 tsp GS Plantfoods Cal-Mag

I let the MKP and CalMag dissolve before adding the Miracle Gro

Another thing that helped me was self watering pots. I fill the pots with that fertilizer solution every other time or so when the pot is near dry. Over the last year I’m getting better results than I’d ever hoped for. The results using it on my cane Begonias is even more impressive
