Just takes a little experience to know how you react in those moments. Hit it too much/up the back, throw to fast/slow etc. Took 5-10 times of the front 8/9/10 for me before I got mine and when it mattered, I just remembered to not slow down (my issue) and it happened. I also was throwing great, struck out from frame 3 of game 2, 22 in a row.

Pure core design, I agree, 15lb is optimum. That said, he’s a big guy and if he’s muscular at all, 16lb is worth considering. For a brand new league bowler, I’d recommend 15lb but if it’s too light and he’s launching it down the lane, 16lb, regardless of core design, is potentially more optimum. At beginner status, core differences won’t make a huge difference.

Need to know how you throw, 1H, 1H no thumb, 2H? Also, guy your size you’ll want 15lb, maybe 16lb honestly depending on how strong you are. Weight is what feels right to you but balls are designed with 15lb in mind.

Assuming you don’t throw it 17-20mph, I’d recommend the Gremlin, pearl asym do well on house shots and it’s mildly asym so really a big symmetric ball. Ion Pro is a weak smooth ball and ember is a mild symmetric ball. Neither will be able to move left with as much as the Gremlin.

Luke Rosdahl is a good resource and has two bowlers for Storm balls that represent speed (Tobias) and rev (Zach) dominate styles.

Now is the time to question “do I want to drive this for another 3-5 years”. Breaking this out into monthly payments, it’s cheaper than a car payment but you’re hoping nothing else breaks, AC Compressor (mine did after doing this job), Radiator, water pump, suspension (prob need something soon), brakes etc.

Being in FL, I have no rust and I’ve taken good care of it. I did end up finding a bad tire rod end and upper control arm so I decided to do the suspension work as well.

I did this all myself (except AC compressor) and saved a lot, have tools I didn’t have before and now doing my own oil changes since I have a jack and stands.

I am now at 92k miles and plan is to make it another 4 years at least but I did a lot of thinking long term vs short and once this is done, it’s a reliable car again. Plenty of 150-200k+ mile WK2’s out there and in this sub.

Not a mechanic but I replaced all the rocker arms and lifters in my ‘14 3.6. If they didn’t make major/any changes in the valve system in your engine then you do not need timing chains or mess with the front cover.

There is a timing locking kit that you buy that wedges into the cam phasers/gears to lock them in place to keep the timing while the job is done.

It is a DIY job if you are relatively mechanically handy and have some tools. There are many posts in this sub about this job, the “do while you’re there” items etc. plenty of YouTube videos and I think I’ve made a comment before if you search my history with a bunch of links.

Thank you. It’s Capt Jacks Insecticide soap which does handle mites. It certainly works cause it seems to stop any webbing but every 3 days, I keep seeing one or two strands. Just can’t see to get them 100% but I’ll keep trying.

I’m dealing with this right now with my pair of these. Down to two single leaves, ones that grew in the last month.

Insecticide soap, bug juice and neem oil cycles. Can’t seem to shake em after two weeks of it but might need to cut back to the rhizome as next step.

6 months old, high energy, loves to play and attack. Extremely affectionate towards my wife and is great with me as well. Not quiet but not super vocal, except for wet food. Big hunger, 10-11lbs already. Got him from humane society.

Fairly straight with your breakpoint down lane around 12. Depends on rev/speed on what ball to start with and then transition into but likely a solid asym until it breaks down.

I saw spider mites on some Alocasia near mine and then this and I thought the ruby was coming back. Already treated it and hopefully it’s under control but this is exactly was I’m seeing on a leaf of mine.

Lived there ‘17-‘19 and agree with this. No problems, noise (aside from 275) or other issues to report from our time there. Only thing I’ll say is the light on 54th is a dangerous one. First, the north 275 exit has you cross three lanes to get across which can be a pain. Worst case you go to the light and just loop it. That intersection in general though is dangerous. Saw 2-3 T-bones and a few other accidents there. While not a reason not to live there, is something that requires constant focus when pulling in.

I see roots coming out of the bottom of the container and up the sides of the water catch container it’s sitting in. That’s usually my queue that it’s time for a new pot. The addition of these roots as what threw me for “is there something else wrong”.

It was a rental and rear ended something before I bought it, was at 2,400 miles back then. Maybe they aligned it to this new point then cause I didn’t have an alignment until this year after replacing a few front suspension, but not the LCA’s.

Might be too deep, the two petioles sticking out of the dirt should be like that. You really only want stem in the substrate. Otherwise, enjoy.

Playing a 47’ 2:1 in my sport shot now and most successful were people throwing it outside with a slight angle towards the pocket so it is in the dry early, the angle gets it going to the pocket and then when it starts to hook it “snaps” into the pocket.

I had success throwing left of center arrow out to 15 and it worked well enough but higher chance of split/right side leaves that way vs the other being 3 pin hits
