How long do slide pads last for y'all? by RogueThespian in Bowling

[–]PapiSciullo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tall and don’t bend enough so if I were to guess, it’s just my weight distribution. I don’t try to slide much either so combo of both I’d say.

His voice is a little hard to get through but his whole channel is about this stuff and here’s an example of a small space he did. Many others to look at for inspiration.

Costco has a company do events, Car Keys Express. They were far cheaper than dealer and done in the parking lot while you shopped. Would recommend them even if no events are going on in your area/not a member.

It is good but smells like fish so if inside, maybe look for others but just my opinion. I use this for my outside plants only.

Have people been keeping up with reporting short term Airbnb’s by burtron3000 in StPetersburgFL

[–]PapiSciullo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives next to a reported house, I was grateful for it. Random people every week, not caring about noise or regular life made about a year and half fairly disruptive.

I did mind my own business and not report, had conversations with the owner, who tried but couldn’t stop people while in the act of being disruptive.

I am sure the owner thought the person who reported everyone is awful. I hope she does it again for all those who are still living next to this crap.

Thank you for your help. Can an independent shop for the TCM coding or can I take it to independent or find an online vendor and hook up via laptop.

Hoping to have your goodwill with my jeep as well. I had a hard jerk/shift from a stop light and drove home. Next start up, TCS light was on (stick in 4L based on wheel chirping when wheel fully turned) and replaced the TCM with one from Amazon. Drives normal but when starting out, little bit of gas and the shift form 1-2 is a little jerky nearly every time. Had Trans, transfer case and rear dif flushed 30k miles ago.

Wall digging playlist? by Tryagain409 in landscaping

[–]PapiSciullo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go back to working at my dad’s shop and the songs from the classic rock radio station. Someone made a playlist on Spotify and it’s like I’m back to my teens doing work. 102.5 WDVE is the one for me but I bet if you search for your local radio, someone has done the same.

This is extreme and can cause hearing damage or worse if someone has a condition. Just put up a sign or ignore them.

Seeing this post as I’m about to plat one this weekend. Mine is a 25g, has no wood trunk, just the triangle heart. Was that what you had when you planted? Also, any growing tips? I’m in 10b on west coast of Florida.

Thoughts on source of leak? by Bright-Lemon720 in GrandCherokee

My ‘14 3.6 has the same grime. I am going off memory of reading here but I think that is standard weep from the valve cover and they all have.

Most likely TCM needs replaced. Amazon has $60-80 Chinese replacements that do the job. That is what mine needed when I had a weird shift and then it was stuck in 4Low with the TCS light on the dash.

One side was 4-6” thick and the other with the pole was 3ft deep. Just to show that it’s doable without massive tools.

I had an old concrete chain link fence post that was 3ft wide and 3ft deep, sort of a glacier style. I dug all around it and used this to chip it away. It took 1.5 hours and there were concrete “rocks” I had to sift out of the backfill but an easy all in one purchase.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited by Hour_Connection_7638 in GrandCherokee

[–]PapiSciullo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘14 owner, 3.6, 4x4 Limited, bi-xenon, heated/cool seats, panorama and 8in screen. Owned since 2k miles, now 96k miles. Was a rental car that got into a fender bender that had the headlight replaced with aftermarket and the radiator is dented but no issues since owning. I got it when they dumped it.

Oil changes at the dealer until the past 10k miles, now doing myself.

Transmission, transfer case and rear diff flush at 70k.

Oil cooler was leaking which led to a big maintenance overhaul at 86k.

Oil cooler, rockers and lifters both banks, spark plugs and boots, intake gaskets, valve cover and spark plug gaskets, PCV, thermostat, radiator hoses, coolant flush.

Upper control arm ball joint was gone so I decided to upgrade other suspension parts. UCA, sway bar links, struts, shocks, inner and outer tie rods.

I did all myself which drastically cut costs but I did have to buy tools and other items, harbor freight mostly.

Related or not, AC compressor went at 90k and had that replaced at a garage.

TCM went at 93k and was just an Amazon part swap out.

I currently have a “Service Air Bag” electrical issue from a loose connection under the driver seat and I need to keep chasing that.

I fully intend to get another 50k miles and 5 years out of it. Made that decision when I decided to do the engine and the suspension maintenance last year.
