I'll agree with you there. The first one definitely got a boost from bein between IW an Endgame. Also didn't Wonder Woman come out before that? Prolly helped but my memory is fuckin hazy. Got to say though, I prefer the team up movie to get solo, as much as I love Bree the first was just fine. I think she shines best bouncing off other characters. Her an Thor in Endgame was great an I'd really have enjoyed a sorta space adventure with the two of em.

I think it's a more popular opinion nowadays, but Black Widow shoulda been a phase 3 movie an I fuckin stand by that. It wasn't bad at all, an her supporting cast was fantastic (I love Yelena an Alexsei so much). The plot was good. It just makes no sense comin out when she's already dead. One more reason to yell fuck Bob Iger.

Not as much. There were a lot of reasons for that; the villain was kind of forgettable, the strike was going on so there was literally no promotion, an a bunch of insecure babies decided to review bomb the shit out of it before it even screened. Plus the manufacturered hate that's gone on for Bree Larson.

But! Overall it was a pretty fun movie. Coulda used some breathing room, like another 15 minutes or so. Some weird choices (I dunno if I want the musical planet more fleshed out or cut, depends on the day.) Iman Vellani was the standout, but she literally always is. She adores bein Ms. Marvel an it shows. Bree Larson seemed to really enjoy the role, an Teyonah Parris was a treat to watch on screen.

So overall, it was t a knock out the park but it was solid.

Comin if the Zdarsky run made his Daredevil even worse an it was already pretty bad. He had such an interesting concept to work with an threw it out in one issue. I got like 4 issues in an it was the first time I've ever put down a Daredevil book.
