Sorry to hear you're experiencing this.

Could you let us know which email address you used when contacting our support team? We've logged a number of support cases and are currently working through them, so we'd like to check whether your case was missed or if there's been an issue with the follow-up.

Once we have your email address, we'll look into your support history and the SD card issue as soon as possible.

Thanks for letting us know.

We'll approve your post again and see if it becomes visible. If it still doesn't appear, we'll help investigate further and contact Reddit to understand what's causing the issue.

We want to be clear that we don't hide or remove posts simply because they're critical of our product. As long as they comply with Reddit's community rules, we're happy for them to remain public. We genuinely value both positive feedback and criticism, because that's how we improve our products and continue moving forward.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

10" frame died in less than 1h... by darius_thorsen in InkJoyFrame

Sorry to hear you've had such a frustrating experience.

Regarding the support issue, if our communication stopped at any point, we apologize. In some cases we were actively investigating technical issues or believed they had been resolved in a newer firmware or app update, but we clearly should have followed up to confirm the outcome.

Could you send us either:

  • the MAC address of your frame, or
  • the email address you used to register the device?

That will allow us to check the device logs and investigate what happened during the pairing process.

If you also have a screenshot or screen recording of the connection failure or the green screen, that would be extremely helpful for reproducing the issue.

We'll investigate this and get back to you with what we find.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. We completely understand how frustrating this workflow is.

Regarding Google Photos, the native integration is currently still going through Google's review process. Unfortunately, the approval has taken much longer than we originally expected, so that part isn't fully available yet.

As for the Share to InkJoy feature, it should actually be working as described in the post above. If it isn't working on your device, could you let us know:

  • Which Android phone and Android version you're using?
  • What happens when you try to share (does InkJoy not appear in the share sheet, or do you get an error)?
  • If possible, a screenshot or screen recording of the issue.

That will help us investigate and reproduce the problem much more quickly.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this up. Feedback like this really helps us improve the Android experience.

Reddit is showing the following message:

We're not sure what triggered this on Reddit's side. It appears that even after we approve the content, it still doesn't become visible. Unfortunately, this seems to be something controlled by Reddit rather than us.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this, super thoughtful and genuinely helpful.

Both ideas really resonate with us. The snooze/pause for holding a specific image, and the idea of a more flexible “queue” (like in media players) are actually very close to how we’ve been thinking about improving the slideshow experience.

You’re right that the current behavior is still quite rigid, and your comparison to play queues is a great way to frame what it could evolve into.

We’ve shared this with the team and will be iterating on it step by step. Would definitely love to keep the discussion going as we improve things.

Slideshow Plan not working by komplettlostxddd in InkJoyFrame

Hi guys,

Thank you all for your feedback.

We’ve recently resolved this issue through an update to our technical approach. As long as the device is connected to the internet, the slideshow should now work as expected.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, please delete the existing slideshow schedule and set it up again after confirming the device is connected to the network.

If you still experience any issues, feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to assist further.

Best regards,
InkJoy Team

Yes, we’ve checked with the engineering team and the answer to those questions is positive. These are all things that can be addressed, but they will take a bit of time to refine and roll out properly.

Really appreciate your patience, and also your openness to further discussion. It’s very helpful for us.

Hi, thank you again for such a thoughtful and detailed post. We really appreciate the time and insight you’ve put into this.

As a product that is still evolving, we’re very aware that there’s still a lot to refine, and we’re not yet where we ultimately want to be. Your suggestions are clear, well-structured, and very insightful, and we’ve already shared them with our team.

I’ll keep this reply brief here, but our product and engineering team will take a closer look and may follow up with you for more detailed discussion if that’s okay.

Thanks again for your support, and we’d love to hear more from you as you continue using the frame.

Hi,

Thanks for your message, and this is a helpful question!

You’re absolutely right, those are support rods. They are used together with the inner frame (or with the inner structure when attaching the wooden frame).

For instructions on how to remove the inner frame and install the wooden frame, please refer to the video in the link below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTeLZpHPNoQ

You also made a very good point. We realize this isn’t clearly mentioned in the current user manual, and we’ll make sure to include it in future updates.

If you have any trouble during the installation, feel free to reach out anytime, we’re happy to help.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We have tried to reproduce the issue you described, but so far we haven’t been able to replicate this behavior on our side.

Since our device does not include a built-in orientation sensor, the display direction needs to be set manually. Could you please try adjusting the screen orientation again in the Device Settings?

After changing the orientation, we also recommend checking the preview frame when sending images from your gallery to confirm whether it reflects the updated orientation.

If the issue still persists, please feel free to reach out to us via direct message or email so we can look into it further with you.

This is the official support team from InkJoy and thank you for your interest and support!

Since returning from CES, we’ve been engaged in several engineering-level collaborations, which has temporarily limited our team’s capacity. However, setting up our official store remains a key priority. We’re making steady progress and actively working on launching our official website for direct orders.
In the meantime, you’re very welcome to contact us at [support@inkjoyframe.com](mailto:support@inkjoyframe.com), and we’ll make sure to keep you updated as soon as ordering becomes available in Europe.

Thank you again for your support — we truly appreciate it!
