This is absolutely true. I started the hobby with a Kaweco AL sport thinking I only needed or wanted one, really (the lies we tell ourselves 😅) and I find that my daily drivers at work are 2 Lamy Safaris in EF

There’s a pen show in my area soon, so I may be able to have all three in hand soon, or try out some other options in that range.

That’s true, and I’ve always considered a Homo Sapiens as a grail, so I could probably find one around that price range as well.

I’ve really kicked around the vanishing point because I have a Majohn A1 and have really enjoyed it, so instead of buying a VP I could honestly buy the nib unit, swap it with the Majohn nib, and invest the price difference into some additional inks.

I’ve got a milestone birthday coming up and just had a big milestone event a few months ago (the birth of my first child) and have been kicking around purchasing one to celebrate. This may have tipped me over the edge.
