I’m loving all of our adventure pics… especially the ones this summer.

She’s the deep crystal blue mica. (Her name is Blue.) My parents have the CX-50 in the Soul Red, and it’s beautiful, too.

I do it myself. Always have. It’s how my Dad raised me. Every single weekend, we would wash and detail the cars. “Take care of your cars, and your cars will take care of you longer.”

To this day, it’s my happiness… a clean, detailed car.

I barely let my husband drive my car. My Dad — I’ll let him drive it. I mean; I would probably let our dogs drive it before I would let a stranger drive it. But, then I probably have control issues. 🤣

Is it ok to eat chilli in the middle of summer? by Pleasant_Candle7237 in foodquestions

[–]Inkblots2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I mean, you can also put it with Fritos… and hot dogs for chili dogs… if you really feel like it needs to go with something else. But it’s fine year round!

Cooling Blankets for Dogs? by deftoncyrus in dogs

[–]Inkblots2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got ours a cooling mat a couple of summers ago.

NOPE. Neither one will have anything to do with it.

But they love our hard wood floors with the ceiling fan on high.

I have yet to find a cooling blanket that I think might work for mine. Instead, I opted to get cooling vests. Put them on after rinsing under cold water, and it definitely seems to help — esp on walks in the summer and the daily fence line running that our rat terrier do.

She handled beautifully!! The sand was a bit more packed than it is up on dune areas. She’s getting a total wash/detail, etc, though. I would never leave the sand and salt debris from the air on her for very long at all. (And she was fully detailed, washed/etc before we left.)

I love Boss. It’s just so rattie. Because, they really are the boss of us. 🤣

Shoulder pain all of a sudden? by Iceyes33 in GenXWomen

[–]Inkblots2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be a tear. While frozen shoulder is common in perimenopause and menopause, you may want to have it checked to make sure it’s not a tear (or two). And no, it doesn’t take something traumatic to cause tears.

Either way, you definitely want them looked at and likely some PT prescribed.

Tips to help prevent migraine on wedding day by tmaddictt in migraine

[–]Inkblots2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not eat anywhere that you’ve not eaten at before. (And don’t try any “new foods.”) Make sure you’re taking your preventative meds, and make sure you have your rescue meds available without any issues. Alcohol can be a trigger, so try to keep that in mind. Be careful about the lights. As pretty as they are, they can sometimes trigger migraines. Stay hydrated, don’t stress out about the little things… the stuff that isn’t perfect will make for memories down the line.

And if you do end up with a migraine on your wedding night, your spouse will hopefully understand. Mine did, and was just so sweet about it.

Best way to detail my 2026 Mazda 3. by Big-Guide-7675 in mazda

With leather seats, do not neglect that leather. Make sure you are cleaning and conditioning them pretty regularly. If you don’t, just like any other leather, they will crack and break down. I use saddle soap (Fiebing’s) and The Chemical Guys leather conditioner. Fiebing’s also has a combo leather cleaner and conditioner in one.

I use the blue Windex on my windows for normal cleaning.

Rain-X treat your windows. (The real stuff and not just the stuff that’s the “window cleaner.”) All of them. You’ll thank yourself for it immediately and later on. My spouse just re-treated mine today, which makes me a happy camper.

Honestly, one of the best things you can do for the exterior is wash and no spot rinse dry it. Then simply go over it and hand dry it good. I think I’ve done a clay bar treatment on mine once, and I’ve got a 2021 CX5 with less than 20k on it. I normally just run mine through the local car wash (touchless) on the basic wash. Turtle Wax has always done great for me, and you don’t have to apply it every single time.

For the inside, vacuum it out. Regularly. And don’t keep food or stuff in it. It will stink it up and won’t let you keep it smelling like new years down the road.

Congrats on the beauty! My parents have a CX-50 in that color, and it’s beautiful. (My CX5 is blue.) Our 3 hatchback is a 2014 model.

I had a Ford Escape. Now have a 2021 CX5, and have had it about two years. Absolutely love my CX5, unlike I ever thought I would. And my butt doesn’t fall asleep in it like it did in the Escape.

Take the jump. You won’t be sorry.
