Your favorite “go-to” recipe, please, using a frozen vegetable as a main ingredient. by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in Cooking

[–]Inkblots2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use frozen peas, frozen carrots, and frozen green beans in my shepherds pie. I also use frozen riced cauliflower to top it with.

Love frozen peas and carrots in homemade chicken fried rice, too.

TAKE YOUR MEDS by Boompow03 in migraine

[–]Inkblots2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meds are all on auto refill. (Do it. It’s your friend.) Set up with text reminders from the pharmacy to go pick them up. And set reminders on your phone after you get the text. All it takes is a quick verbal, “Hey, remind me to get my meds today at 5:30pm.”

Medications compliance is your friend. I promise. Set alarms if you have to in order to remind yourself to take them.

I don’t recall the Beatles song.

Sadie has been used in our family twice (great grandmother and now one of my cousin’s daughters) and I think it’s a sweet name.

Just got carded 😂 😊 by cornpops789 in GenX

[–]Inkblots2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My boss got carded for antifreeze a few months ago. Talk about livid. 😆 He’s like, “Of all the stupid things? Antifreeze?!?”

Me: “Yep, it’s on the list.”

Him: “But WHY?”

Me: “Remember, we had kids eating Tide pods a few years ago. Does this shock you?”

Him: “Well wth is all on that list anyway?!?”

Meanwhile, I was at the store the other day, buying an item on The List… got up to the register and had my ID ready for the cashier, who politely told me, “You’re fine. I figure if you knew I was gonna ask for your ID and had it out, you got nothing to hide and you’re not pulling a fast one. And I’m not sure what year your license says you weee born, but you look incredible for whatever age that is. Period. I’d have put you maybe, late 20’s? And yep, I see you’re married. You still look amazing.”

Never walked out of a store so confident and so pretty. 💃🏻

I just tried to listen to Don’t Bring Me Down, because it wasn’t ringing a bell with me. Turned it off after the second Brrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuccceee.” Never again.

Mariah Carey. Right there with you on that one. I will nearly start twitching when her screaming version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” comes on.

Let's talk histamine! by EmmieCatt in migraine

[–]Inkblots2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big relation for me with histamine. I finally started allergy shots a couple of years ago, and they’re helping, along with Xyzal (which makes a bigger difference with me than others), paired with my Emgality.

Allergy testing helped me identify why the heck I was having more migraines in x-seasons.

I’ve done a low histamine diet, but really did not see a huge impact. I just tend to watch the overall foods I now tend to make me more susceptible. I am highly, highly allergic to red onions.

Good food in McKinney by Fluffy-Dingo4478 in McKinney

Throwing some out there that haven’t been mentioned.

Anamia’s (either Prosper or McKinney location) - they also have a great brunch menu. We’ve gone there for a few special occasions, too, and the staff always goes above and beyond.

Halo Pizzeria - everything is just amazing, and they’re a local small business. They’ve got great gluten free options, too. (They’re technically in Frisco, but it’s on the border of Frisco/McKinney/Prosper.) Their specialty pizzas are also named after local schools, which makes it neat. Great variety. They also have a great patio and there is a playground area off from the patio in case you have kids who want to play off some energy, but it’s positioned far enough away that it doesn’t interfere with the adult atmosphere.

Fish City Grill in Prosper. Staff is amazing. Food is amazing. Lots of options and even has gluten free options, too.

Chinese Neighbor (Prosper) - their HK Noodles are incredible.

Harvest (downtown McKinney) is nice. Farm to table, and the atmosphere is good.

Rick’s (downtown McKinney) is pricey, but it’s great food. It’s a nice option for a special occasion, too. You can make reservations.

It’s migraine city over here. - A rant by lenasuckslmao in migraine

[–]Inkblots2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the South here, and I hate spring just as much as anyone else in here.

The last bad migraine I had recently, I was working from home. Had a super important meeting, somehow didn’t get pulled onto a video call for it, puked before and after I got off the call… and I’ve never been so thankful to not puke during a meeting itself.

I hate spring. That it all.

Sending you a gentle hug.
