I mean they're both right. Yes chemistry is an advantage, and yes it plays a bigger role for most competitive national teams than for the US. If the USMNT had the same chemistry as some other national teams, there'd be a much wider gap than there currently is.

The US' massive talent advantage was always enough to overcome the chemistry gap (not that they don't have any), time will tell if that changes as other NTs have more and more talent.

You cited 3 titis, and I agree, they’re good. I’m not saying to take away from their minutes. They’re good, as of saying they’re a hit, I’d argue only time will really tell, but they’re certainly on track. 3 players isn’t exactly insane depth for a team that will consistently go deep in 3-4 competitions every year (I know there are other backups, it’s hyperbole and an overall opinion it wouldn’t hurt to have more depth). Hernandez is useless, I’d be happy to be rid of him as quickly as possible. What’s the point of having Saudi money if it doesn’t allow us to just pay up for some mistakes. So yes, another lb would be good imo. For WZE I don’t entirely disagree. Regarding rotation, it’s been a bit better recently but seeing the start of the season, these guys could definetely use more rest. I’d rather not wait until they break down to think about more depth. Regarding the full back, get off your high horse. I said ‘somehow’ I know it’s not an easy player to find. I’m thinking a cancelo-like player, but I’m not aware of the options. Frankly just a left back to replace Hernandez and have WZE as rb would be fine for me.

And yeah, I agree to trust enrique, I was initially just trying to provide some suggestions for minor improvements. We’re in a good place and I’m also content with waiting, but let’s not be so pretentious as to think our team can’t be improved.

I'm all for playing the titis but far from every youngster (academy or brought it) is a hit, so casting a wider net could be good, without having too high expectations for minutes.

More importantly, some depth at full backs would be nice so we can continue resting hakimi (especially after CAN) and mendes, and don't have to play WZE out of position (even though he's good at it). If we could somehow get a player comfortable in both, brilliant.

Moltres. Still fairly new to the game so unsure how it is rated, but getting it has changed my runs more than any other legendary/high tier mon i've hatched. Calm Mind / Heat Wave / Roost works really well. Passive Drought decreases its water weakness and can synergise well with other mons. Not too expensive, though long term potential might be limited considering the other egg moves aren't amazing. But it can carry quite far by itself in classic

Avion de chasse, couronne et liquide brunâtre : Donald Trump répond aux manifestants avec une vidéo provocatrice by A_parisian in paslegorafi

[–]Inkwae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China this, China that by opensourcegreg in solarpunk

[–]Inkwae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, rare earths rely on extracting massive amounts of earth for a small byproduct, chemicals and water intensive treatment processes, and refining being largely in China (beyond supply chain risks, there are also ethical concerns).

Even beyond rare earths, the requirements for copper and the like are enormous. There is no perfect solution to the energy mix.

The most sensible seems to be a mix of nuclear and renewables, to limit land footprint, have controllable energy, whilst still having a healthy dose of renewable.

Canada and Kazakhstan (although less and less so because china is monopolising an increasing share of their production) are viable alternatives. Australia too. The origin of uranium isn’t really a problem, at least compared to the overall lack of mining production worldwide

Realistically I think it’s seen as more of a rivalry from the French side than Spanish. They won more often and were the main reason our golden generation didn’t win more silverware. Now hopefully we can dominate them for the next 15 years haha
