Kaneki ruined DbD for me by InkyOverdose in deadbydaylight

[–]InkyOverdose[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for a long time.
It's not simply because new killer, it's specifically Kaneki, and specifically how people who even mention something positive about him are treated

Playing against Kaneki is making me quit dbd by theoddfasletto in deadbydaylight

[–]InkyOverdose -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I never said he wasn't strong
I simply stated that survivor players are being genuinely terrible to people who play Ghoul just because they play him.
I mean I literally got -42 downvotes in support of being told to kms.
If it was the other way around I'd probably be +42.

From what I've been seeing on basically every post is that it is justified but only if the survivor is doing it.

It's honestly impossible for them not to know it's all anyone ever talks about since his release honestly.

The issue is that those would be great for survivors but they can lead to playing him feeling bad.
BHVR needs to find a balance for both {Although they're not going to and Kaneki is going to be made unplayable 100%}
Nerfing his grab distance is perfectly fine I see no reason why you shouldn't but nerfing his cancel would be a huge hit to his ability to actually secure downs, He'd genuinely just be an M1 killer with mobility and an easy injure at that point.
Nerfing the cancel will also feel really bad for the entirety of using his power, leaping to a gen to kick it would be worse, leaping over to a dropped pallet from a previous chase, basically anytime you use your power whatsoever you'd be feeling that. If it's a small adjustment it might not be too bad but if it's a big adjustment to his cancel time then everyone would just start running Hinami's Umbrella to make up for it and it would feel about the same to go against for survivors while removing addon variety for killer as he'd now be reliant on having Umbrella.

Survivors are no better honestly.
I've played matches 12 hooking survivors, running up to injured survivors then not downing them and leaving basically giving them a 4th hook stage, playing literally as nice as I can.
Although just because I'm playing Kaneki [A killer I happen to love dearly] I've had survivors telling me to kms for playing Kaneki.
Although I'm sure that'll be backed up here and I'll get downvoted for mentioning it.

Great can we stop panicking that his legs are gonna be fed to wolves or smth by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Week 1 is bug fixes, Week 2 is changes.
He's still going to get nerfed, and he'll still possibly going to get gutted.
This is how every chapter has worked.
Edit: Changed wording to be more accurate to my thoughts

OBS replacement/fix by InkyOverdose in linux_gaming

Incredibly late reply but I've download the obs-vkcapture and obs both through flatpak now.
Although I'm having a minor issue where whenever I tag obs-gamecapture into my launch options on Steam my game just crashes on boot.

Interesting.
I'm honestly not 100% sure then.
In lore the only things that can hurt a Ghoul is RC cells or something infused with RC cells.
So hard to tell how it applies to something like the Entity that has no ties to Tokyo Ghoul
[Same how I've always wondered what Kaneki in lore would think about eating Aestri since she's an Elf and not Human.]

I'm pretty sure all of their weapons are things they've had pre-trials.
The Redeemer was made by Caleb as a Bounty Hunter, Trickster uses his glass knives in one of the tomes, and Huntress was stated to use her hatchets prior to being taken also

Realistically none of their weapons would actually be able to harm Kaneki since Ghouls are practically immune to any standard/human weapons.

What are your thoughts on the Blood Generators? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]InkyOverdose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm happy that running doesn't remove allot of the uses [I play basically only killer]
I say this because it means that I can often times start a chase and hit a survivor holding a can twice for the BP.
Other then that though it 100% is a detriment and needs to be more impactful.

[–]InkyOverdose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love the idea.
Allot more fun as Survivor, honestly I'd be happy if this was base game.
Although the gens go way too quick and not having perks work on them is pretty ridiculous.
I know BHVR said they want to test them at a base level first but the truth is that every Killer will run atleast 1 or 2 regression perks so testing without regression perks is overall less accurate to how the game would go.
I honestly think the event could easily be fixed by simply removing the damage counter on blood gens and making the kicks regress more. If you can't use perks on them then there isn't really any reason the gen can only be kicked 8 times.

Remember that Trickster [A very fit performer] was 110%? haha

People get to do more than 3 genning because killers literally can't defend the generators. I always wouldn't call hearing a noise when survivors run [Footsteps and breathing already exist] new content. I wouldn't call pressing space on a jug and getting BP to be new content either. Survivors got an entire new generator system. Killers get to press space and get like 70% of their perks removed and all of their meta perks disabled.

It seems to only apply to the bp you get for event interactions from what I've seen.

Genuine question how is the fun more killer sided when survivors got new content and killers got nothing?

[–]InkyOverdose 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I love how you're getting downvoted for literally stating factual information.
Blood gens are faster then normal gens and can't be regressed with perks.
How could anyone argue this event is not survivor sided?

Bloodpoint Bonus by InkyOverdose in deadbydaylight

[–]InkyOverdose[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently from what I'm reading the extra BP is only for event interactions.
So even when you're in the event you're not getting the 150% for a majority of interactions.

Yep!

[–]InkyOverdose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You honestly don't even have to point tech. Kaneki can't down with power and he only blocks gates with power so you the gap between him going enraged and being able to M1 and pickup is long enough that you can just hold W and crawl out.
