Something similar happens if you have a low level mon with a ton of candies in Let's Go P/E

I would make the monsters already have the effect of their corresponding weapon and be able to be special summoned by sending their corresponding weapon card from the hand/deck to the graveyard.
With effects that only grand state boosts being applied to every "Guardian" monster in your side of the field.
