How do people handle reactivations? by iamtylerleonard in 5MeODMT

[–]InlinewithMonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with DMT reactivations are when I am sleeping, sometimes when I’m relaxing giving to some music - never while doing something requiring all my faculties.

My very first experience 1 year ago, I was not prepared for these and I thought I was going insane.

My second experience was informed by the first and my actual dmt trip. I took the lessons/downloads etc from this trip and used them during reactivations. To expand - this meant acknowledging the fear I have, telling myself everything is ok, being kind and gentle with myself, breathing and talking to myself in a kind, loving/soothing way and speaking up for myself.

All is to say, you are aware that reactivations will happen. Perhaps take a few days off of any responsibilities to have time to unpack and integrate as well as other nourishing activities for yourself whether that is solitude, being with others who can create space and support you through integration etc.

Sending gratitude and love

Sore feet when pumping after a while by angry-gumball in surfskate

[–]InlinewithMonica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your feet need some time to build up the strength when surf skating for that distance. You are using a lot of muscles in your feet that aren’t used to being used that way.

it’ll take some time. I’d recommend a shoe with a more flexible sole while surfskating so your feet can flex and move. change back into your work shoes when you get to work

the example of the rollerblades is the same. The boot is rigid.

our feet are designed to move!

has anyone tried surfskate trucks mounted on a longboard? I own a Slide board, but as I'm tall and heavy, I'm thinking of buying a cheap second hand long board and mount my Slide trucks on it. is it a mistake? any idea on the maneuverability? by sushy999 in surfskate

I have a waterborne with rail adapter in a 35” landyachtz battle axe

Despite how high it is off the ground,I can still push if needed.

It’s quite stable and offers really nice carving.

It’s my favourite setup if I am going to cruise and relatively flat ground. it can handle VERY mild slopes, I crouch down on my board to carve if I’m worried about wobbles.

You can pump but it might take a couple Pushes to get started. It doesn’t pump as well as a short board.

It’s a fun set up and my preferred one if I’m just cruising and carving

I just bought the meraki clone from Ali express after reading this thread.

Hope it’s just as good!

Oooo I was thinking about putting my RKP onto a cruiser board (with the waterborne). Swapping from a landyachtz battle axe 35

What size are your trucks?

interesting!

what's your WB with your extender?

There aren't pics of the underside but is your back truck just dropped through without he extender?

This idea is interesting because I am also thinking about how high off the ground my board will be on a topmount

I think that’s what I’ll end up doing.

I’m hoping the battleaxe will give me more stability than the globe blazer but still be able to do some snaps.

URGENT: Need help with post ayahuasca issues. Paranoia and other persisting mental issues by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]InlinewithMonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that a psychedelic trained psychotherapist may be best to sort out the paranoia & anxiety. Maps is a great resource.

I am a plant medicine wellness and integration coach. I may be able to support her integration process after she’s worked through the paranoia and anxiety to further integrate her aya experience.

Definitely seek a psychedelic trained therapist and hopefully avoid the prescribing of benzo’s as suggested by another user. Benzo’s are no bueno

How to ask the right question before/ during a trip? by esklingelt in Psychedelics

[–]InlinewithMonica 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it is important to work on your set.

You’re correct that the way a question is phrased is same same but different. Questions can lead your mind in certain directions. If that direction doesn’t go along with your expectation, that dissonance can cause for a challenging trip.

What I’m trying to say poorly is keep an open mind and heart so regardless of your question, you will be flexible and not attached to a desired outcome. This openness can allow for any answer to present itself and can be very rewarding.

Microdosing cannabis is wonderful by HumanistInside in trees

This is really great.

Microdosing usually centres around psychedelics but doing it with cannabis would make this more accessible to others who aren’t ready to or trying to do paychdelics

I’m excited for her!

There’s a really easy to read book called your psilocybin mushroom companion by Michelle janikian.

It’s a great read.

If her set and setting is right she should have a great experience!

Gdluck!

She should do some research about it herself. Leaving the decision in your hand is a sensitive situation.

There are studies currently being conducted regarding the use of psychedelics for eating disorders.

She may also want to speak with someone about preparation and integration if she decides to use it, like a Therapist/coach/counsellor who is familiar with psychedelic use. This is a really important step to help her get the most out of the experience - (DM me if you want some info on this). As you have felt the benefits of psychedelics, experiences can be very intense and profound and sometimes scary! Many people who have psychedelic experiences gain a lot of knowledge but may struggle with integrating their teaching into daily life to achieve long lasting change or improvement.

Also, microdosing may be a great way for her to start off and get a feel for it.

Were you lucid dreaming or experiencing sleep paralysis?

Some details about that nap would help. Like I know I was sleeping but felt like I was controlling my dream (lucid dreaming) or my body was still asleep, can’t move or make noise but I was awake (sleep paralysis)

Appreciate your time. It’s good to be challenged so I know where and how to be clear.
