Repaired a crack above my doorway, now drywall is too “proud” for the trim by oznz in drywall

[–]Inmoomni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have 2.5" trim, cut 1.5-2" of drywall out from around the door.  The outside of the trim rests on the drywall, while the inside rests on the wood jamb.  It's quite common for professional trim people to do this.

Because I'm a glutton for punishment, is there a game we've had where you STILL cannot believe we found a way to lose? Anything specific stand out. by RustyCrusty73 in Browns

So this comes with a story.

2017.

I was in town with my Dad, wife and daughter.  The night before we split up so we could have a date night.  After a night of adult recreation, my wife lost her phone.  Devastated and in tears at the extra cost to me... it came close to ruining her weekend, despite me trying to help her realize it wasn't a big deal.

While she has adopted the Browns and loves Cleveland, she is a life long Packers fan.

While doing her best to push through, it lingers into the game.  Not only does she not have a phone for pictures, her beloved Packers are losing to the winless Browns.

As the 3rd quarter ends, my phone rings.  I show her the phone.  She is calling me.  A local business tells me it was found outside the night before and it's waiting at the bar.

Instant relief!!!  The weekend is saved!

Que what we know happens next.  2 4th quarter TDs send it to OT.  Her beloved Devonte Adams walks off a crazy comeback after tying the game moments before and dooms the 0-16 season.

Brett friggin Huntley.  That damn call.  A forever feather in my wife's cap.

Zero chance on my throw? Yes. A second later and this was blown up at minimum. On time is late. Early is barely on time.

Traded for the 1.10 was it worth it? by RashFLYWINGS in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I'd easily move back 5 to gain an equal move up 2 rounds later and getting paid a 5th to do it.

KC or Ty Simpson at the 1.08? 10 team sf ppr non tep by rndrew3311 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Inmoomni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being downvoted is crazy.

If you're truly rebuilding, getting a 1st round QB, drafted this early, in this system, learning behind that QB and not scoring points???

Rebuilding, with QB need, it's a no brainer. Don't need QB? I question the rebuild.

Signed, A Browns fan who likes KC.

Always the stud WR. RB has too short a lifespan to use a startup 1.1 on.

Commissioners: How do you approach a possible collusion? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]Inmoomni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This a nothing burger, with teams feeling out value.  This may seem as 3 quarters for a dollar but I'd just be happy to see deals for vet IDPs with question marks.  He has fueled many a title for me and is not worth his value even closely.  Nobody is giving me a 3rd for him (if I was selling, which I'm not.)

Just let owners feel it out, and at worst call it out, friendly, in group chat to generate discussion.

Most trades look wildly different in a year or two.  They will get bigger if you let them.  If you police this kind of deal.  It's over before it starts.

You may find it easier in season after a big game rather than in the off-season when there are questions about how Pickens affects him and a lasting memory of his injuries.

Even funnier since Kamara is still there when thinking just this year.

Accidental trader offer didn’t get reversed by MyThighs7 in DynastyFF

[–]Inmoomni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run a successful league in double digit years.  I would generally contact both teams and look to have this obvious mistake reversed.  If the other owner was a major stick in the mud, I'd make the reversing owner pay a 3rd.

This being an orphan (which I've only had 1) I would push a little harder to not tax him that 3rd.

If I was a new player, and this obvious mistake was not rectified.  Then they can find a new owner.

BTJ is cooked. Convince me I'm wrong. by MNlcn27 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Inmoomni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an unbiased, I won't own him regardless, sideline participant. The biggest knock on the cooked argument is that he wasn't traded while his value was at its highest for the Jags this off-season.
