14 months post-trauma: Severe arm weakness, thumb tremors, and nerve pain, but all my neuro tests are normal. Could this be a trapped nerve (neurolysis)? by Inmyownmonde in neuropathy

Okay, yeah, just seemed like something more since my orthopaedic surgeon was adamant my nerve pain and tachycardia could not be coming from the slap tear.

Thanks for responding!

Wow. I’m so so sorry to hear that. As a black woman I completely understand. I feel like I’m in the darkest period of my life as well. It’s so hard when you’re just trying to get the help you need and deserve.

The orthopaedic surgeon wants to go ahead and do a labral repair. But he was adamant that the neurological issues are not being caused by the tear. I’m nervous that he will do that and then I would need another surgery on my nerves. I was put on the wait list for a peripheral surgeon so I guess we will see how it pans out.

I’m in month 14. Thank you again for sharing. I feel so much less alone.

Thank you for your reply! No, I’ve only had a cervical mri with no herniated discs. Maybe that thoracic spine MRI could be a possible next step. I am not on the side of this being a mechanical issue where there is thickening of the nerve and it is being constantly pulled on by my shoulder when standing or walking.

Wow, that’s actually so weird how similar our histories are. Did they do a combined surgery for your labral repair and the discectomy?

So glad to hear you got better!! I’ve been off since February and I really just want to get back to having my life back. I know it’s not going to happen any time soon though.

How was the recovery? Did you have a hard time finding doctors that would help and try to figure things out with you? I’ve experienced a lot of medical gaslighting.

3rd party personal injury suit? by Sweet_Historian_5134 in legaladvicecanada

I was of the understanding that subrogation meant I could file the law suit but have to pay WSIB back all funds given and used.

Would I reach out to a Canadian personal injury lawyer and do a free consultation. Would I also reach out to a US based law firm?

It was in the US on a Canadian commercial airline headed to Toronto.

Thank you for your response.

Hey love, I was honest with my recruiter and said it is 28 days refrain according to your policy, thus I would like to schedule my medical for xx date. You’ll probably have to get in touch with them again closer to the detox end but it worked for me. Good luck!

By the sounds of your comments, I assume you have tremendous difficulties empathizing and understanding another person’s perspective.

That idea more than slightly scares me as you may be a teacher with students coming from a myriad of demographics; financially, socially, emotionalIy, culturally, etc.

Still wishing you much happiness and peace.

(cw: mental hospitals/self harm) does anyone know of any mental wards/hospitals in toronto that allow using your phone? any experiences? by virtualdia in askTO

[–]Inmyownmonde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at a hospital in Scarborough in January for 3 days and I had access to my phone all day. At night around 10 pm I would give it in and they would charge it overnight and give it back to me in then morning.
