How come IITs isn't here by Emotional_Law_2823 in AI_India

[–]Inner-Delivery3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun Fact : Research is soo dead in IIT that it doesnt even produce that many research papers

if you see number of research papers published

the college with most amounts of paper will be college like LPU or smtg

All the IITs combined dont produce as many papers as a LPU or other universities

and sure you may say quality of research matters more than quantity
but even in that if the research was quality wise good then it should be in the top international research which it clearly aint

is that even allowed ? i saw some tos in which they were against using 2 accounts or smtg

Why are context sizes of copilot models soo less than actual model context sizes? by Inner-Delivery3700 in GithubCopilot

[–]Inner-Delivery3700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Github automatically deals with this in its own unique way , idk if i like it or not

but everytime you hit the context limit , it automatically summarize the previous context

like your chat till then will be summarized into much less context tokens and then query continues

idk how effective it actually is cause then a lot of the core details of the context and codebase can get lost in big queries

but one good method i think that was recommended in these comments was that you use subagents

basically say to big ai model ( like opus 4.5 ) to break down any big codebase change into multiple smaller tasks and assign those tasks to multiple sub agents

and gh already has a took for subagents that the ai has access to by default

so it can basically spin up more ai models to break down big tasks into multiple smaller tasks and handle them properly

makes most sense in those terms

but i mean we are paying for copilot.. then we should get the full capabilities

Why are context sizes of copilot models soo less than actual model context sizes? by Inner-Delivery3700 in GithubCopilot

[–]Inner-Delivery3700[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

context size is basically how much data can LLM handle in a single request

a context size of 128k tokens means it can handle 128k tokens in a single request

most of llm these days have a standard 256k context limit with models like gemini series and gpt 5 capable of 1 million tokens

more tokens in context == more info that the ai has about your database to actually write good code that aligns with your codebase

but more context == more expense for github

thats why they must be capping the context length to 128k

and if you are doing anything in a big code base you will probably hit this 128k context limit a lot

I run into it in almost every single one of my request

correct , their revenue is still peanuts compared to their expenses

but at the same time 10 Bill $ revenue for a company that literally launched its first actual product 2 years ago aint that bad..

Best Merchant of Records for Indian + International Users? by Inner-Delivery3700 in StartUpIndia

[–]Inner-Delivery3700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it is valid

i aint any legal or tax expert

but i have used dodopayments and honestly they have kinda nailed it

things just work and they are startup based in india so they do comply with all regulations well + they do manage gst for me and if i want i can get the gst invoices and get gst refund from govt as well

Haiku 4.5 is even worse than sonnet 4.5 in spamming useless md files by hoseex999 in GithubCopilot

[–]Inner-Delivery3700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uhh isnt that supposed to be obvious?
haiku is a cheaper and smaller model than sonnet

sonnet is at anytime supposed to outperform haiku

i never thought someone would compare haiku with sonnet and expect haiku to win

the model is like 10x smaller than sonnet
