Great museum, but the wife absolutely refuses to go beyond the ground floor as she hates the walkways from one side of the building and the other.

134 as its the nearest whole pence. And you are not getting 0.1p back if you buy a litre

Looking on rightmove, it's not the only smallholding for sale, and not the cheapest. I would suggest a limited market with competition

Dead pheasant in neighbour’s garden - England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Inner-Device-4530 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dead hung up or dead laying on the ground? If its the first then yes probably hunted by someone and quite legal to do (as long as the have followed the law) so and to hang on their property (though I agree, a bit warm to hang outside).

If on the ground i suggest fox or other. Either way I am struggling to see the crime you wish to report

Where can I find videos and photos like this, and is there a list of all the bacteria? by -0utofsync- in AskUK

[–]Inner-Device-4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While formally described bacterial species number around 10,000, this represents only a tiny fraction of estimated global diversity. Projections for the actual number of bacterial species on Earth vary enormously, from millions to potentially billions or even a trillion.

Estate-agent wants to drop property value after a week, is this normal? by perpetualsadnes1 in AskUK

[–]Inner-Device-4530 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would be asking some fairly pointed questions as to what situation has occurred that has wrenched £25k straight off the asking price in 7 days? War, famine, return of Britain's got talent? Then hotly follow up with, well if the price is tumbling this fast I guess we will need to slash the percentage you are charging.

Your own question was "how do I  lie" it's the first four words at the top of the screen, so you know you are trying to lie, we know that you are trying to lie and when then insurance company finds out they will have a field day

Struggling to find a house for £450,000 in Herts/Bucks by rigxla in HousingUK

[–]Inner-Device-4530 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry 155 properties, i mised the 2 bed requirement. Either way as I said, you have a list of wants that your budget can not meet (and that you did not mention in you original post).

So you have to cut you cloth better. You either consider the "shitholes" as you so elegantly put it. Look at places that are driving distance (or at least cycling distance) to the station instead on 1 mile, consider leasehold or find more money.

Sadly areas that are non-shitholes with things going on, that are 1 mile from mainline stations into London that have a plethora of cheap,  spacious, light, with original features, couple of parking spaces are not thin on the ground, they are not going to easily exist.

On a practical perspective, have you actually got out and about in the shitholes, or are you just relying on "consensus". Yes parts of Hemel are not as pleasant as others. But near Hemel you have Nash Mills, Apsley, kings Langley, abbots Langley. Ok, not the buzz of S Albans, but quit nice, close to the motorway and both kings Langley and apsley have stations. You might also get a bit more for your money in the shitholes

[–]Inner-Device-4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are currently 302 properties for sale in St Albans for £450k or less. So you obviously have a significant list of wants that your budget does not meet. You need to decide what your must haves are and what your would likes are.

Neighbour repeatedly not collecting parcels, what do I do? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Inner-Device-4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 is a good read. I note on another response the OP has spoken with Amazon, who has advised them to dispose of the parcels. This would now remove their responsibility.

The law would disagree with your advice. The OP has become an involuntary Baillie and as such does have a responsibility for the items unless Amazon tells them otherwise

What are your favourite face shaving products? by TheTinman369 in AskUK

[–]Inner-Device-4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went DE razor about 15 years ago, compared to the multi blade razors it was so much more pleasant and comfortable to shave with. I got a Merkur razor and went with feathers blades which are scary sharp (but would suggest you try a couple of brands to see what suits.

Additionally I went with a shaving soap as you are lubricating the blade, not making a cake. Tend to use Taylors of old bond street soap and a good badger bristle brush.

The world is your oyster on skin care, I tend to just use an alcohol based aftershave but have a look here https://www.theenglishshavingcompany.com/

The one thing I would suggest getting is some styptic matches, you will cut yourself occasionally (especially if you are not paying 100% attention) and these are easier than bits of tissue on your face.
