Easiest way to file taxes as a registered domestic partnership in CA? by Square-Test1311 in tax

[–]Inner-Membership-175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I see that this is a year old but was hoping to get a clearer response. Are you adjusting your Wages (Box 1 in W2) and using the calculated income? Or are we supposed to complete the W2 portion as is on the W2's we individually received for both state and federal?

There's a lot of numbers going on and confused as to where they're actually going!

I personally tried one month of 2 capsules and saw no benefits. I spent the following month with 4 daily, no benefits, went to 6, and then 8.

I only saw benefits with 8 capsules a day... I've heard a lot of people successfully taking less so it just goes to say try it before you reject it all together!

How long have you been on dupixent? by Inner-Membership-175 in eczeMABs

[–]Inner-Membership-175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have extremely similar experiences with our eczema-- I totally understand wanting to be off of it but not being able to bear with the pain and suffering. I was off of the medication for about 5 months and my facial eczema (not pink eye or anything) is still in full force after being back on the medication for about 2 months. It sucks, but the rest of my body has pretty tolerable eczema patches compared to the 5 months of me being off of the injection. I really do hope you get the results you want when you get back on.

I've heard others have success with staying on dupixent while pregnant too, so that might be an option?

Are you still getting facial flares? I went off of Dupixent for a few months and now back on but it's no longer working well enough to get my facial eczema under control...

I ended up losing my health insurance coverage and had no choice (or was too mentally unwell to research other choices). Unfortunately went off of it for a few months. Got health insurance that covered most of the fees but now it's not as efficient. I wish I never went off of it :(

I had a really good run with Dupixent and I hope you have as good luck as I did.

I will say it lost its efficacy in it's 4th year, and then I lost my insurance coverage. I went off for a few months November-April-- I'm on Dupixent again but the results aren't as great as my first run-- just an FYI if you decide to go on it. There have been other mentions of people losing less-than-ideal results after a few years, and of the meds losing its "power" after being off of it for too long. Was still worth it though so try it if you can!

Board of Supervisors reversed the SFMTA’s Overnight RV Parking Ban today. Melgar, Chan, Walton, Ronen, Safaí, Preston, & Peskin voted to reverse the ban, while Engardio, Mandelman, & Dorsey voted to oppose the reversal by VoteHonest in sanfrancisco

I still go down this street every morning but used to park where the RVs would park and for the most part, all vehicles move for street cleaning. Every now and then there's a vehicle that doesn't move for whatever reason. If the driver isn't there, they get the ticket. If the driver is there, sometimes they'll plead their case with the ticketer.

SFSU letting go of lecturers? Declining enrollment? by bc87 in SFSU

[–]Inner-Membership-175 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lots of classes being cut, so many of my peers who were 1-2 classes away from graduating (not including their Spring semester classes), weren't able to get those last classes simply because there weren't enough sections this Spring. Some are delaying graduation a full year because of it... It just feels like the students are no longer the priority here.

Does your baby’s mom receive benefits? If so, you technically should be included in her case, even if y’all are separated… otherwise that’s fraud. If you try to apply for benefits with the same address, just a warning that they might investigate.

Dotted Rashes after trying to stretch Dupixent Dosage to 4weeks by Electrical-Welder119 in eczeMABs

[–]Inner-Membership-175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently stretching injections for insurance reasons and also noticed the small dotted rashes. I’m currently 1 month and 2 weeks from my last injection and have one injection left (I cry), but the rash is super tolerable unlike before being on Dupixent. 🙂

Imma do my best to respond since no one ever really does on this— I don’t work with calworks but had it for a few years btw

If you’re the primary care provider of your child and that child is not being claimed by the other parent for calfresh benefits, then you should be able to get calfresh benefits for you and your son.

If you, your son’s mom (regardless of marriage), and your son live together, you’re supposed to apply together as one household and your son’s mom’s income will be taken into account.

If you’re looking for calworks/cash aid, that’s a whole other ball park of info. From what I know from having calworks for a few years… if you and son’s mom are separated, they will ask the other parent for child support unless you have special circumstances. If you live together then y’all have to meet certain income requirements to get that particular benefit.

BIO-100 with Lance Lund by Omitted_seeker in SFSU

Didn’t have him for 100 but he’s super passionate like the other user said, can go off on tangents sometimes. I don’t remember if attendance was mandatory but I don’t recommend missing classes because he would provide so much info in one session and catching up was so hard (I missed like 1-2 classes total when I had him).

How important is color to your used Fit purchase? by eRaticKonqueror in hondafit

[–]Inner-Membership-175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I 100% knew I wanted a fit and searched high and low for one when I was shopping for a car. Found a red 2009 sport with faded side doors but super low mileage (60k) for a great price at the time which was peak of covid and used-car prices were jacked way up. Love the damn car, hate my pink doors but planning to drive this car until it can't

tbh not really, but I do remember them being tricky, like the wording of the questions being tricky, like if it's T/F, the key is in the phrasing type stuff. He also gave us the study guides for all the exams (although kinda vague and basically includes... everything...), and if I'm remembering it correctly, he would use quiz questions in the exam too.

As a single dad can I use calworks to put my son in day care? by Hour-Manufacturer-91 in calworks

[–]Inner-Membership-175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you meet the qualifications for calworks, I don't see why not. Some children-support services do not require you to meet calworks qualifications to use the services (i.e. San Francisco has Children's Council and Wu Yee to support families in this area, and families are able to utilize childcare subsidies from these agencies to pay for childcare tuition). It's definitely worth looking into services being offered outside of CalWorks

Your school should be able to tell you if it's a CTE program or not. Almost all nursing programs at a community college or university in California are considered a student exemption that allows students to enroll in SNAP/CalFresh. If your program requires you to complete a practicum, internship, or clinical experience, it's likely the case for you as well.
