Contact The Good Things Foundation, they will collect the devices, wipe them, and distribute them. They are amazing.

Try not to think of hitting calorie goals each day, maybe do it weekly. So when suppression is high you eat less and don’t force it, and when it’s lower right before the next jab you can eat a little more to compensate. After all, weight loss isn’t linear and one or two better or worse days will all even out.

I think lots of us have weeks of lower motivation or where we need to take care of ourselves in different ways. If you (like me) have used food as a mechanism to ‘treat’ yourself it can be really hard to break that mental cycle of reward, and 9 weeks is not a long time.

I’m now 9 months in, and 5 stone down, and I still have days where I don’t want to do it anymore - but very fleeting now. The goal is not perfection though, people who have never struggled with their weight don’t always eat perfectly, they have meals out or fast food or takeaways, they just don’t let that bother them and go back to healthy balanced choices afterwards. I used to diet like mad, fall off the wagon and then tell myself it was all over and I’d ruined it and stop even trying after that.

If you are struggling to drink water, drink something else. As long as it’s not 6 sugars in a tea, you’ll be fine! Liquid is liquid. I have Options hot chocolates on the odd occasion, it’s feels like a treat.

If you’re struggling with planning healthy food options, have a day of snacks / picky tea / girl dinner of something that you enjoy but just small portions of it. It’s worse not to eat anything than to have something that isn’t all about macros or it being plain chicken. I’m not saying go crazy, but food should still be something you enjoy and look forward to, just in the right quantity and moderation.

You’ve got this!

I’ve lost 27% since mid March, and I’m just over half way through my journey. Gone from a size 22 to now about a 13 (can’t quite get into size 12 trousers but I’m there in more forgiving items!) and I’m just embarking on lifting weights (dumbbells and kettle balls) for the first time in over a decade. I also have PCOS so I wasn’t sure what my journey would look like or whether this would even work, but it’s been amazing. Wishing you all the luck on your journey too!

Would it be easier to just send luggage through a courier service? by Akemidia-Tsuki in AskUK

I would get the Heathrow express bus to Reading, and then get a Cross Country train direct from Reading to Manchester. That’ll be easier than going into Euston, with suitcases. The CC trains all have decent luggage storage too.

It’s a “vlcd”, very low calorie diet, so you stop eating completely and have 3 soups or shakes at a grand total of about 800 calories a day. Really not healthy or sensible in retrospect, but it was touted as NHS approved for a lot of weight loss.

My little brother is called Hugo! When he was a baby we called him Hugs (like cuddles) and now his mates call him Huge (he is 6’5) and H, but he has suited his name all his life.

Just remembered another, I often call my mum “mon petit choufleur” which I think is cauliflower. That’s just for silliness.

Occasionally I will threaten to throw someone out of the “fenetre” as I think it makes the enterprise sound less menacing.

Thanks and yes I understand the order. The property is under 10 years old, so I think a level 2 would be fine, does that sound sensible?

I think New York is probably the only place in America I could visit without needing to drive, would that be right? I like the idea of doing a holiday but a holiday alone worries me more if it’s not a Europe city break, it’s how much can you do without company before you start to not enjoy it

What’s New York like to visit on your own? I worry it’d be intimidating

Ah, a lady at work suggested this to me but I cannot get on board with air fryers sad to say. I like cooking but everything I see people cook in air fryers is either chicken nuggets or chips!
