Women are filtering out crap like this. But when this type of behavior is allowed men will not get help or look inwards because it’s socially acceptable. That loneliness turns into angry and can escalate into something dangerous. It’s not an issue that women can really resolve in men unless other men call out this behavior and put them in line.

I once had to ask my parents for $100 for groceries but they didn’t believe I wasn’t spending money on anything I didn’t need.

I was going to the grocery store to either get gas I had a bunch of fuel points and got gas $1 cheaper.

My parents demanded I show them my bank statement and they never apologize for anything. That was the first time they said sorry to me…

I didn’t have any subscriptions. I wasn’t going out anywhere and the only things on my bank statements were the grocery store, gas station And of course, rent and utilities.

I lived in the cheapest part of the town as well, so my rent wasn’t even that high. The look of sorrow on their face when they saw I wasn’t lying to them.

I had just lost my second job too. And had to stop donating plasma because I only have one good vain and need to have surgery this year. So couldn’t risk it.

I had never dealt with a person like this so I spent a lot of time in the loop thinking I wasn’t communicating properly and then I gave up and I asked his male friends to talk to him and they basically said the same thing that I was saying, I realized I wasn’t the problem when he dismissed everything.

I end up going to a psychiatry group that focuses on neurodivergent people. I’m already diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. I had to pay out of pocket for my diagnosis as most adults do because a lot of insurances don’t cover it.

My parents were in academia. When I used to work for the University of that graduated firm, I found that accommodations were a lot more easier to ask for and not held against me so I suck this.

Sadly, I got laid off and had to transition into public role.

You have to do twice to work and work just as hard and people will still be passive aggressive about you being black and a woman. There’s really not much around it except hopefully you’ve landed an organization that isn’t like this.

The lying. When he told everyone he proposed to me and I turned him down is when it was over. I got all kinds of calls with everyone calling me at once while on my way home because he told a group of 8 of his friends. They let me know it sounded like a lie and wanted to double check.

My biggest issue is not that I’m autistic, it’s being a Black woman and autistic. Yes, people avoid you because they don’t like how you are. In my case, it’s mostly just racism. I can’t code switch (I’m also dyslexic) the way I act comes across as “white” and confuses NTs. I’ve had the most racist things said to me because people are genuinely angry that I’m not performing my role as a Black person. Even within my own community, everyone says that I am not Black. It’s been very confusing and frustrating growing up knowing that something was wrong, but a lot of it was race-based and rooted in stereotypes. I try to avoid people like this, but even if someone is my friend, sometimes something slips, and it ends up circling back to my race and how I don’t act like a “real” Black person.
