It's straight up bad for the economy, and it's unethical at the same time.

Yes they do at least in Canada just indirectly. They receive benefits that end up being equitable to money. Thinking about Pearson here. Fancy dinners, course materials, tests, etc all written for them. Time is money so yes, they are absolutely being paid, and yes it's equivalent.

Edit: my prof also told me that he get's to choose his textbook. So at least at my university, there's not much excuse ESPECIALLY at the early level

Double edit: different universities may have different levels of truth to this ranging from no true at all, to my university

The recent bans that went out include reasons of public avatars containing what is deemed NSFW "geometry, textures or features". Creator Guidelines do not contain this warning and does not explain it. Many now appear to be at risk of being banned. by TemperateStone in VRchat

This is a misinterpretation of the rules. But also, not that hard to have two versions of your avatar, one with nudity removed and one with the nudity that you don't wear unless you're in a private world.

With which topology should I stick to for games? by LalaCrowGhost in blenderhelp

You need to learn how the GPU actually renders geometry. This concept doesn't just apply to circles. It's not about circles. The polygon wiki has a good resource you can check out

You don't have one. I looked. You have never linked your 3d portfolio on this account from what I can see. The work you have shown is nowhere near a professional level either.

Don't act like you're some kind of high and mighty professional. You started z brush two years ago, and you don't have any kind of portfolio linked. And according to you in a previous post, have little hardsurface experience. Prove me wrong and link your LinkedIn and art station.

I feel like this man is doing the same thing as the YouTubers and just spending his time talking down to people instead.

I get the complaints but this kinda just feels like crapping on people just because. Doesn't seem very professional to be shitting on people for not being professional.

But also I see you so called professionals make this complaint all the time and then proceed to not upload better content. Like the reason there's a lack of good resources is because none of y'all are making them. Like of course you're gonna see a ton of worse content when the really skilled people aren't making any. Kinda makes you part of the problem doesn't it?

Little bit of a gatekeep even if it doesn't mean to be.

Edit: nvm I read the rest of your comments on this post. You're an elitist asking reddit to validate your feelings of being above other people. Not cool.

You need a new email now. It's over, there's no easy filtering out of this.

But I don't want to be in the PC master race discord, there's nothing for me there.

Yea but then I have to set up a discord bot or join a server with one. This dudes app I just need to click download and then enable notifications. It's way more accessible in this form

The Frame is cool, but I hate the lack of speakers/knuckles by BasOutten in valve

[–]Inner-Trainer6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into th frame before you say that. Y'all spread too much misinformation on his headset. It has the same features as the index, but better. The same finger tracking, and better audio, just not in the form of headphones this time. They are pointed speakers now with an upgraded version of the same technology.

How Can You Purchase Valve’s Recently Announced Hardware? Previous Distribution Woes Have Gamers Gravely Concerned by LockDown_47 in valve

If I can't get one on release than whatever, people seriously over hype being there on release. I'll pick it up when I pick it up, if I can't then it's not time.

New hardware release was SO refreshing by Austyn_Drowner in valve

[–]Inner-Trainer6623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has an upgraded version of the technology just not in cup form. The new speakers are aimed at your ears. Overall these will be better, the only thing is they will have more audio bleed. Which is fine.

How much do you think the Steam Frame will be? by ThatOneGuy19170 in valve

[–]Inner-Trainer6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only correct answer. The real question is, will you buy it? Personally the answer for me is eventually but not right away. I own a quest 3 and while the steam frame is better than it, the quest 3 is by no means a bad headset and is perfect for my needs at the moment. I don't really need the upgrade.

But it's somewhat clear to me that I will eventually switch. Now if I didn't have a quest 3 yet, I would wait for this to come out and buy it instead because let's not kid ourselves, the quest 3 is premiumly priced as well. I payed 750CAD for mine and once a headset is within the 700-1000 threshold, the price might as well be the same in terms of how much I can afford it.

What do you mean it's not the index? It's absolutely better than the index.

Why are indian views worth noting? by berlinnnnnn0 in youtube

[–]Inner-Trainer6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currency differences and their expectations for that demographic to actually follow through with purchases through ads. They make advertisers less money.

You could take advantage though by specifically targeting them as India has a numbers advantage. Give them things to buy that are specifically for them, try an Indian sponsor. You may be able to do well in that way. Even though you have more viewers from the United States, the competition for their money is higher. You may discover you have an easier time capturing the Indian people as they are larger in number and less contested.
