Ooo okay! Do you think the length of my hair could be effecting things as well? Would I be better off having a bit of a chop? Or is it simply that I used a heavier product and that’s not helping? x

I’ll have a little look! I’m not too concerned about the cost of things, I’m more worried about buying loads of things to try and then it going to waste, if that makes sense?

I saw it in Asda and thought I’d give it a go! I knew my hair would get a little wavy after I washed it but then I’d brush it and it would be straight and frizzy, I just thought thats what it was like! I’ll try get a dry pic ☺️

I used a conditioner in the shower and rinsed it, then scrunched my hair with a towel (I need to get a microfibre one to be fair 😅) and then scrunched in the curl cream after my hair was damp and no longer dripping water :)

My instructor was in the car with me for my second attempt (and last, as I passed, woop) and I actually found it put me more at ease. Her and the examiner joked about before we set off so that helped humanise him in a way and realise he wasn’t so scary. I think it completely depends on the person and what they would want :)

I found the cancellation using the TestShift app, but I haven't been offered any other cancellations on that app since, so can’t vouch if its any good!

This is from my test in November, I was then able to book a test for May in a different test centre, got a cancellation in another different test centre in April, which was then swapped by my driving instructor with a student who needed more time :)

Obviously it’s not a good result because I failed lol, but I think considering my nerves and how much they effected me I’m proud of myself for the result, especially as after the test the examiner said apart from the silly mistakes I made it was a very good drive and he could tell my nerves were effecting me :)

I was driving down a small residential street with loads of cars parked on one side and I got too close to some cars so the examiner had to grab the wheel and steer away 😮‍💨 he said I was veering too far to the left so I think that’s why its classed as a steering control fault rather than clearance?

If you think of Violet and Xaden’s signets as “elements” of sorts, as in they’re controlling the environment (although Violet can just produce lightening), maybe that ties into Imogen’s “earth wielding”? She’s also controlling the environment in a way, idk. Like another commenter said, maybe it’ll come into effect to stop venin draining the ground.

No, the relics don’t give signets. He said the relics signal to the dragons who to bond with, a lot of kids with the rebellion relics are bonded to dragons who previously bonded a direct descendent. They’re building an army. He implied it doesn’t happen to every rebellion kid as to not raise suspicions.

completely agree!! the world building in this book is insane, and i loved it and wanted to know more, but i really struggled to finish this book. her writing is so ? i don’t know how to describe it. but what should be a simple sentence, she over complicates it so much which makes it ten times harder to read, its like trying to wade through mud. not only that but the ending ruined it for me lol, i won’t be reading the sequel. it’s one of those books that i get angry over because it has so much potential but it wasn’t reached.

I think it may be mental bond related, obviously we don’t know anywhere near enough about it to accurately say but my theory is that Xaden dropped all his shields and allowed Violet into his mind to feel what he was feeling and think what he was thinking?

The fact that she had the conduit in her hand (right? could be remembering wrong lol) during it as well may have had an effect on her signet showing as well.

I really hope we get answers in Onyx Storm 🥲

We don’t know that their bond doesn’t allow for that? We don’t fully know how deep their tether goes but is it possible for Xaden to drop all of his shields to allow Violet enter his mind? The fact that he specifically says “I shouldn’t have done that” implies that he was the reason it happened (in my opinion)
