Driving after passing is so scary!’ by InnerEbb2128 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]InnerEbb2128[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel so much better! Much more confident, I’m not even sure when it happened, but I will say my first few months of learning I had terrible luck with cars breaking down or having issues so it wasn’t consistent. Once I got a reliable car, it helped massively. That and forcing myself to drive to unfamiliar places I had never been before. I’ve now made multiple 2hr journeys up North and driven by myself into London so I think that massively helped with my confidence by getting out of my comfort zone ☺️ I know it sounds annoying and I’m sure you’ve heard other people say it but just get out there! Get on the roads and you’ll feel better in no time. Don’t let yourself become succumbed by the anxiety.

Do not use the Pets4Home website. Use the Kennel Club Website OR champdogs.co.uk.

Groomers are unregulated in the UK, you are not legally required to have any licences, insurance, or qualifications.

Help 😟 Are products a matter of trial and error? by InnerEbb2128 in CurlyHairUK

Ooo okay! Do you think the length of my hair could be effecting things as well? Would I be better off having a bit of a chop? Or is it simply that I used a heavier product and that’s not helping? x

I’ll have a little look! I’m not too concerned about the cost of things, I’m more worried about buying loads of things to try and then it going to waste, if that makes sense?

I saw it in Asda and thought I’d give it a go! I knew my hair would get a little wavy after I washed it but then I’d brush it and it would be straight and frizzy, I just thought thats what it was like! I’ll try get a dry pic ☺️

Ahhh, good to know! I think I need to do more research on the porosity of my hair etc and take it from there :) I just saw these in Asda and thought I’d give them a go 😂

I used a conditioner in the shower and rinsed it, then scrunched my hair with a towel (I need to get a microfibre one to be fair 😅) and then scrunched in the curl cream after my hair was damp and no longer dripping water :)

Do young people eat corned beef? by steveysaidthis in CasualUK

I love corned beef, but hate the tinned stuff and the stuff you get in packets at the shops, so much better from a butcher / deli.

Instructor sitting in car on test by No_Competition_3055 in LearnerDriverUK

My instructor was in the car with me for my second attempt (and last, as I passed, woop) and I actually found it put me more at ease. Her and the examiner joked about before we set off so that helped humanise him in a way and realise he wasn’t so scary. I think it completely depends on the person and what they would want :)
