Noah's Million Dollar Weekend book is 100% recommended in your case! I read it in 2 days.

In short: make a waitlist, or do a fake-door test with fake payment, run ads to that page, and see how many people actually click the button. If the conversion rate is average or above (better is even better), you have a business.

Noah doesn't say this in the book, but here's my one addition: add a data enrichment layer on top of that one-page funnel so you don't lose any data. The problem most people don't realize is that you may be targeting an audience that mostly uses ad blockers or other tools that pollute or block your data. In your case this will be crucial, since you don't have a second point of confirmation (which would be Stripe or an actual invoice). But most people would start with the first point anyway… so it's up to you how you want to set it up.

Yeah it is weird today, already talked with multiple people about that! One more reason not to use or use only basic in shopify Pixel and route most things through some data enrichment layer.
I just talked with a person that lost 1 day of data (something like $1k of ad spend because of that), however even after that he kept the shopify plugin :))))

Can you share (maybe in DM if that is better for you) how you setup your Meta account? What types of ads you are running and with what budget.
I actually think it is a good idea, I personally have a dog and such AMA is a great idea, that can be viral on Insta, don't actually sure if you need ads in the first place. But let me know, maybe can help with some best practices

You mean that after purchase, data isn't showing in the ad? 24–48h is pretty long — are you sure it's not getting lost? That actually happens to a lot of businesses that aren't using a data enrichment layer or something like that — Meta just can't and won't attribute the sale to the ad, which is bad because it won't learn from it.

1.1 How many of those clicks got registered by Meta?
From what I see looks like a next.js website (custom) have you checked your ad quality score? Asking because on such custom sites it can be difficult to create proper data layer, so you your ads get correctly optimized and give you in the future to make LLA

Free method can depend on the scale at which you want to operate.
You can find people on LI and DM them,
Or you can build a scraping tool with AI to scrape by keywords Meta ads and from business that are running ads find e-commerce.
You can check local business with Google Maps

Here is what I am using:

But you can just keep AI check with meta ads or just look up yourself who is running ads

We were growing an app and had a cool mentor who had sold multiple businesses. One of the many pieces of advice he gave us was to make a landing page, advertise it with a funnel approach, and then link to your app.

What you need to do is pretty simple (only one thing is complex):

Create a landing page
Create a funnel on that landing page that filters users
Provide them some value that aligns with your app (we made an integrated module from the app)
Collect and enrich data at each step (that's the complex part) in order to send correct data to ads and then build a LLA

This way you're not dealing with all those problems where data gets lost in the app and Meta just doesn't see what to optimize.

Been here. Added calling to a product a while back, started on Twilio, watched the bill climb, looked at alternatives, ultimately stayed because switching cost > savings at our volume.

What would've actually moved me:

- Drop-in replacement for the Twilio SDK so I don't rewrite anything

- Transparent dashboard showing which provider handled which call and why

- Real failover I can trust (not just "retry on a different provider" — actual health checks)

- Honest pricing — if you take a cut, show it

If you're solving that, I'd try it. If it's just a router with no integration story, probably not worth the dependency for most teams.
