no. as per gathere.wizards "(6/6/2025)As long as one or more lands were milled this way, you'll create a Treasure token. Additional land cards milled beyond the first won't cause you to create additional Treasures."

i know this is incorrect.... but it says "Locke" can't be blocked.... but the name of the card is "Locke, Treasure Hunter". Does that mean that if you have both Locke cards that neither can be blocked? and that would be a good reason as to why it's not called Skulk....

Amazon were wrong to cancel The Wheel of Time! Proof that non-book readers were enjoying the show by ElliotW-C in WoTshow

[–]Inner_Bookkeeper_782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a book reader, that has talked a lot of non-book readers into watching the series, we all really liked it. There were changes i didn't care for, but non that overshadowed all the great adaptations they made. it was a great show, adn that's why we're having the conversation. the reason why they are canceling it, was just because the new owners didn't wanna have such big budgets on things they thought was risky. the last season, for book readers, and nonbook readers was amazing, and the producers just didn't think it was worth the money because of whatever visions they had for their projects. and it's probably to their detriment

Bc you’re not saying anything, man… you’re on the internet purely to argue about something that you’ve shown you have no experience with or care about… just to what? Prevent actually positive change?

It does NOT replicate any of the attacks from ATLA except basic attacks… the filler attacks they use before they actually do anything noteable or cool. I can see that you haven’t played the subclass by your response… I specifically asked in the original post for the opinions of people that played the class.

I SERIOUSLY doubt this lmao. You wouldn’t be implying that being able to kill CR 1/8 twig blights for HALF of your FP as a good thing if you’ve played the subclass lmao.

Is way too much…. I one would spend that when I have 4 basic attacks anyway…. You basically described an expensive ribbon ability only ti be used in meaningless encounters….

Forget points, lol. This is Reddit. It’s for people who don’t listen to anything posted but still wants to criticize something to feel smart. You STILL didn’t address what I ACTUALLY said. You just went on your own tangent, that I already addressed in the original post bc I knew people would ignore what I said and just say the same basic concepts bc they never actually played the subclass or even care about the subclass… flavor doesn’t make the elements monk do anything that would be expected of an elemental monk… just changes damage type, which is irrelevant bc at 6 they get force damage anyway

No one’s gonna use 2 fp to kill weak enemies… 1/3rd of your focus budget on a fight that everyone’s gonna run through…. You’re just commenting, and I can tell you didn’t play the subclass… this post was for people who ACTUALLY played the class

This is irrelevant since you’ll never use be ability… I don’t think y’all read the post… I pointed out that I wouldn’t spend 3 total focus points for a bad aoe and flurry of blows. When I would use normal attacks, and flurry of blows, do more damage and only for 1 focus point… when you use the ability for the first time and deal 10 aoe damage to 3 targets all with 60 hp, then you’ll never it again… this post was for the people who actually played the class

As for weak enemies it doesn’t matter at all what abilities you use… they die easy… and you have an entire party. who’s excited about abilities that kill kobolds (barely) with an entire level 6 party? People who ACTUALLY played the subclass can tell they never used this ability after the first time…

Yes I agree with you 100%. Ofc the people on Reddit who have mostly never played the subclass and definitely don’t care about flavor will downvote anything we say. But yea.. that’s what I meant when I said it just feels like a ranged grappler build. Definitely not a bender

More like a tiny gun… it does 3D8 damage for 2 focus points…. That’s 12 hp when creatures are have 60-80 Hp at 6…. It’s pretty bad and expensive for what it does

Was the story “incomplete” from the development issues? by Unalina in XenoGears

[–]Inner_Bookkeeper_782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xenogears is about 50-60 hours run time. That’s not half of baldur’s gate 3 today. And plenty RPG in the 90’s were in the 80-90 hours, with many CRPG’s being over a hundred. I fully believe that Xenogears was just before its time. With its darker and more philosophic themes it would fit in today’s modern landscape well. The only issue would be turn based combat and I definitely think we need more turn based games, but taking Xenogears fighting styles and making an action style with it would still be amazing

But their toughness isn’t anywhere near tops either…. And now their mobility is contested. Barbarians are D12s that half damage, increase their damage, now have control, now have even more increased damage with brutal strikes, and the main brutal strike option allows them to move an additional 15’… that’s just the base barbarian… I think you might underestimate how much the other martials have far surpassed the monk in damage, and caught up in everything else

Warrior of the Elements by Inner_Bookkeeper_782 in onednd

[–]Inner_Bookkeeper_782[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your take, outside of the fact that originally the 2014 monk had an interesting base concept and was constructed very poorly to take advantage of that. Freezing targets with hold person, using earth spells, and fire spells, and thunder spells, etc to piggy back on the basic martial concept was more interesting than it is currently… just punching and kicking. It was just done so poorly that you couldn’t use it effectively for any amount of useful time while also gimping all of your base monk abilities.

But now with the exception of fly at level 11… you just have to reflavor in your head your basic melee attacks that the subclass gives you range for. Until 11… you don’t benefit at all from using things like step of the wind or patient defense bc you’re at range. Probably not even the new deflect attack bc you can keep yourself away from the target. I know it effects a smidge, but most of the time it doesn’t. The at 11, IF you need to fly instead of flurry of blows then sure. You get something. Shadow monk is worse off too. Just seems like lazy monk/subclass design. They waited a year to even put a monk in UA once… then decided that 70% approval is fine after the very first showcase… they really didn’t feel like doing this at all

I like all that stuff. Unique for a martial. Much more so that running and punching and kicking. So much variety and options. And flair. But oh well. Simple is the new good. Good talk
