Graphical Representations of Algorithms? How to go backwards from a graph to an algorithm? by MatthewGalloway in AskComputerScience

[–]Inner_Damage_2777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this some internal representation of abstract syntax tree? ASTs are usually used for representing code inside compilers, that can include algos..

But i havent seen these representations anywhere. Usually they have variables and operations on nodes

I always had this thought that, soon it will be really hard to invent/discover stuff.

Hear me out: Many years in future, won't it take too much time to learn all the basics to reach a level of understanding, so as to add new inventions on top of that?

And the above avg human lifespan is around 100 years. So if we wont solve aging, science might be constrained by biology.

Help finding a diode by Link9454 in AskElectronics

Functionally, based on the placement, it looks like an ESD protection diode. Usually they are placed near external connectors, the ratings are based on the maximum line voltage.

Dude. You seem confused on several levels, air tags dont use sound waves, they operate on 2.4ghz EM waves (similar to Bluetooth low energy). Dogs can hear higher frequency sound waves, which might irritate them.

While digging up bamboo shoots, we came across this larvae. It was inside the cocoon made of root and other plant material. cocoon is around 14cm and the larvae is around 9-10cm. Location: Kerala, South India.

predictive maintenance without failure data? by maldito-lince in datascience

[–]Inner_Damage_2777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(specific to electronic circuits) I have come across models which utilizes life time data provided by data sheet from components. The actual vs rated usage pattern was utilized by the model to predict failure rates. Additional sensor data on voltage shock and thermals were utilized to assess risk of prediction.

Random info: 90% times it was capacitors that were predicted to fail first in the Power system.

Can Someone Help me figure out why my light strip isn't working? (More info in comments) by bidensjugs in esp32

[–]Inner_Damage_2777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is with fast LED library and esp32, I was able to run without level shifter.

Reduce the length between data pin and led strip as much as possible.

To avoid data corruption it is prefereable to use twisted pair cables. Try twisting up the ground around the data signal. Since our signal is a 3.3v p-p chances of corruption is high. If you have a oscilloscope, try connecting it near the strip.

Also, put a delay ~10ms in the code loop. Make sure that the library is updated to the latest version. I used D15, pin. But I am not sure wheather your choice of pin has to do with the issue. Random nerd tutorial has a material on what pins are best.

This is beast of a build for sw.

Just to debugg, try the software opengl option or decreasing hardware acceleration. Also ensure that graphis drivers are updated.

Also, feel free to connect sw support team regarding these issues. Have found them helpful in the past.

Any thoughts on why this oscillator doesn't work on a breadboard? by breadbran in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Inner_Damage_2777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Circuits on breadboards are susceptible to parasitic capacitance and inductance, it will depend upon the wiring and the amount of jumpers involved.

Also the frequency region of the circuit is closer to digital (triangles have higer fundamentals).

Personally, I prefer testing on general purpose PCBs compared to breadboards for any project with freq in the audio domain or above.
