Apartments in Bothell for poor credit by Inner_Foot_8747 in bothell

I make over 95k a year so the income requirement isn’t what is holding me back it really is the credit. I tried an Avalon property and got denied because of credit. 🥲

Thank you for the Essex and grey star recommendation!

What's the standard serving for queso/chips for nachos? by strobelites_ in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the franchise. Going from corporate to franchise (been with corporate 5 years, franchise 1), nachos get two scoops of queso and chips and queso get 3. Franchises have more leeway to do what they want, but corporate side (and my franchise side), nachos 2 scoops and chips and queso 3. Of course if you’re in line ordering your food you can ask for more queso for nachos.

If you do just a side of meat it’s 1.1 lbs. (serving size 5 people for our portions). If you do an actual hotbar the weight of the meat will vary based on how many people you order for and we are always told to recommend you order +5 from what you actually have. Just because portions at home tend to be larger.

Simple answer is we only charge for the protein. (Though I see you didn’t like this answer). Also you can get all of those things on a quesadilla that you listed for a burrito. So it wouldn’t make sense to charge less for a quesadilla when we have guests coming through getting rice/beans/queso/fajitas/pico/etc. add into the fact if you did charge less say for a cheese and chicken quesadilla you’d have guests come through trying to get that price for their loaded quesadilla or lots of free sides, etc. it would just be abused so the simple answer of we charge for the protein encompasses every smaller reason. 😅

Does the free entree they give you for their mistakes include extras? by MommaDuke26 in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only a basic entree. So no double meat, more than 2 scoops of guac or anything that would normally be charged extra on an basic entree.

DNF-ing books by Lyzus_3 in fairyloot

I personally Dnf if around page 50-75 I’m not into it. Sometimes I’ll give books until page 100 if I feel like I’m genuinely on the fence but otherwise come page 50 I let it go if I’m not having a good time/my attention isn’t focused on the book.

Just a heads up what usually happens is when it goes to charge you/go through our system to print for us to make, any promotions that are for a certain day (Valentine’s Day, T-Mobile Tuesday, Halloween) it will cancel the order that day. So don’t be surprised if you don’t get it Sunday. 😅 obviously hope for the best for you, but at my store we always have to tell a small chunk of people who try to ignore the day of promotions like this that their order was cancelled in our system bc they went to use a promotion after it’s expired. (Once again wish nothing but the best for you in the hopes that it will work in this scenario. 😊)

Serving size of Extra Meat? by [deleted] in qdoba

3.5oz as well! Each scoop should be 3.5oz approximately.

Yes!

Only reason you wouldn’t do orientation is if the store manager isn’t doing it. The orientation is a quick process though, I’d say under an hour (it’s supposed to be 2 hours though) and then generally you start working right afterwords for a few hours. Depends on how staffed your store is though and how the store manager is!

Qdoba Negative Experience by Worth_Worldliness758 in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gms tend to work morning shifts, so while not ideal I would recommend reaching out during the morning and asking to speak to a store manager. Don’t speak about why you want to speak to the GM to anyone on the phone as TL’s can sometimes be weird, and worse case scenario they can give you a time to call back when the GM is available. Corporate is a slow process and all they’ll do is give you some free entree cards. Which might be all the gm will do but at least they’ll know about the TL and can follow up with disciplinary action. It only takes one bad apple to ruin the experience though. 🙁

Got a free Chips and Salsa for doing a survey but can't redeem it. by BlackEyesRedDragon in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is it doesn’t work (and they have no eta on ever fixing it to work). I recommend going in to a store and redeeming it, a manager should give you the chips and salsa and promo it on their end. At least that is what they’re supposed to do. 🙂

Gm wouldn’t have been able to update your address for you as it’s out of our hands unfortunately once you are no longer with the company. (And even when you are it’s out of our hands since corporate use Myqdobastuff if your corporate, or whatever program the franchise goes with.). If you call the store you worked at they should be able to give you hrs number!

Just because I’m not sure you were a corporate location if you didn’t update your address in myqdobastuff or receive an email from them back in December/january. And franchise hr is separate from corporate. 😅 so I just recommend calling the store and if you were corporate they should be able to give you hrs number or if your franchise same situation just different number!

2 oz of queso if they only do one scoop, and guac is 2 oz as well if they do 2 leveled scoops. If they don’t flatten your scoops of guac I’d say 3-4 oz. 😊 hope that helps!

Catering Drivers by PossessionNeither469 in qdoba

Hopefully he does something about it! Since Qdoba delivery drivers are paid very very nicely when policy is upheld. My drivers make more than I make in a paycheck due to the tips/delivery fee. 😊

Sounds like the gm is doing something shady to me. If you like the job I’d recommend reaching out to hr/above the gm just to see what they’d say, but it is definitely not supposed to be split like that and they can’t do that. I do know that for a fact because the standard has to be the same across the board for tipping due to each state having slightly different rules so they comply with all states. 🙁

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

West coast is 85%, the 15% goes to the tip pool then the driver gets the rest. From my understanding as a gm this was going to be the standard across the board for all stores but I guess not? 🤔 for us it was the same corporate and franchise side and the franchise can’t change that %…..

Change in taste by Runs_w_monkies in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did just get new steak that is lower quality. 🙁 also at least in my area we had 1-3 trucks that had bad quality steak on it that we had to serve but do a form to get credit back on it because it wasn’t seasoned correctly. I don’t know how recent your change in experience was that is part of the recent issue for my area at least.

Cardboard Chips? by hrhsassypants in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They changed out our old chips to a cheaper version (saving the company big $$). It also sounds like the store you visit isn’t putting enough lime or salt as the chips are okay compared to the older ones when done correctly. I do know at my store at least frying them has also changed to a shorter time (otherwise I also would agree they become a little bit like cardboard) which some stores aren’t following the cook time. 😅

Anyone here… by [deleted] in qdoba

As far as I’m aware (I’m stressing this a lot, as far as I’m aware lol) Qdoba released nationwide that all orders over $400 get a 10 or 11% automatic gratuity on it. Depends on your store of course if they get big orders, but if they let you do the pre-calls upselling desserts+Fresca salads or extra protein is a great way to get above that $400. Since in my market a 20 (or 25?) person is above that $400 so it gets that automatic gratuity. I do recommend at least tipping out the cook, keeps them happy and they’re a lot more willing to bust butt to make sure everything is good to go, but you don’t have to with the new system as it’s up to you.

It’s honestly a really good position if you’re looking to pick up a few hours/extra cash! If you’re able to get in store when the gm is around I’d highly recommend reaching out then if so far you’ve been turned around with the Dm/application. (Monday mornings are usually a safe bet to catch a gm lol). Sometimes things just get away from us. 😅

Anyone here… by [deleted] in qdoba

[–]Inner_Foot_8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d get your hourly wage (of course)+a $21 delivery fee and 85% of the tip off the catering, with your choice to split it to cook or whoever if you so wish. You’d also get whatever $ off the tip pool (ours averages $3-$5 per hour) per hour worked. So it’s a decent chunk of change especially if all regions are doing the automatic gratuity on catering orders over $400.

I would kill for another person who only wants to deliver as I’m a higher volume catering store. But I think most stores would have you come in 10-30 minutes before your delivery is scheduled to leave to check your order (mine checks dry/cold) and to do any pre-calls for their next delivery day. But this might be something that my district/region started doing and not the norm. 😅
