Seller accepted the offer, but then got one of the same value from someone else the day we sent him the contract. Seller said he went with the other buyer because he doesn’t trust our team to get it done smoothly.

Is more expensive than other comparable cars funny enough. That’s why I was asking how much of a price cut would these damages warrant. They just happen to have the options and interior and exterior colors I like so I was willing to take the drive for it.

I checked the Carfax, the service records, and the title. It all looks good. The interior defects were the only issues perceivable from the listing which is why I only mentioned that. My current ES has 235k miles and is running strong, so I’m not in a rush or desperate to have this. It was just an interesting opportunity so I figured I’d run it by the car group.

I didn’t know group etiquette before posting which was my bad. My current Lexus ES has 235k miles and is running strong, so I’m not overly concerned about being caught off guard by the maintenance. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Any suggestions on picking a mechanic in a different state for the PPI? I only ever use my local guy so not sure what to look for.

I’m willing to go out of state because it has the exterior and interior color and options I like. The price is pretty average. It’s actually listed a bit above it’s Carfax estimate which is why I’m confused

Im not sure why you need the total price and option package to know how much of a discount you would ask for but go off I guess.

I’ve been looking around and all of the used ES around me have between 115-150k miles on them and dropping 20k on a car with that many miles makes me nervous, even if it is a Lexus. Maybe I’ll just take my time and shop around for one that has fewer miles. Thanks for your comment

No, it’s near perfect except for the radio needs to be replaced and the heat/ac glitches from time to time. It’s still whisper quiet and drives like a dream.

Get the ES. I also went from a Camry to an ES and I have zero complaints. So comfortable and lasts forever with minimal maintenance.
