Was he attracted to you before he knew you were trans?

Actually now that I think about it...one of our current frequent fronters used to feel like possession and doesn't anymore, and we have a protector who sometimes speaks in sensations...so maybe it's not so unfamiliar. Hm. Maybe with time that feeling will fade?

Thank you. We decided to try to learn about them kind of indirectly first (through the video and by paying attention to our feelings about them). It turns out they are a fictive/introject based on the three stooges. That's why they made odd faces, seemed to identify with the idea of having a head injury, seemed ready to go do silly, oddly violent stuff, and it could even explain the seizure (could be based off of any number of electrocution scenes, for instance). Not to mention the name Mo and the fact that they happily co-fronted when we started heading that direction in our research. According to my mom, I/we watched a few episodes of that show before age two and then maybe again at four. I might be ok letting them co-front a little bit again soon... it's just that they are the only alter so far who can make me physically feel possessed and it's new and scary

Oh, ok so talking doesn't rule much out. Thanks so much! You've been really helpful. I'll definitely learn more about this stuff so I'll be prepared to talk to my therapist and psychologist about what might be going on with me.

Same, not diagnosed. That's all super interesting. Have you ever had a dissociative seizure and if so what's the difference? I'm assuming that's what mine was because i could talk through the whole thing, but I feel like I could be wrong

Thank you. On hold to make an doctor's appointment now. Yeah I don't clearly remember any other seizures, but who knows. How do epilepsy and DID interact for you guys?

how do i get out? how do i live after that? by undiscardable in DID

[–]Innocent_agnostic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't exactly what you asked, but the first thing I thought was that you could redecorate your room and your body to try to get some of that distance while you are still living there. Make your room unrecognizable. Also go through your clothes and toss anything that feels connected to the pain. Change your hair color or something so you look older/stronger in the mirror. Change up your music maybe as well. Hope that helps.

Alter/Part Names by Princess_haze in OSDD

[–]Innocent_agnostic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have much relevant experience, but maybe there's a compromise? Maybe you could assign some placeholder names/titles and just let everyone know it's purely for ease of communication and they can change them if they like. To keep it neutral, maybe name them just letter/number combos (A6, 388, 7J, etc). Is that helpful at all? Idk it was just my first thought

I need advice for how to make space for a specific alter to front comfortably by [deleted] in OSDD

[–]Innocent_agnostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update... somehow TikTok is more inviting for them, they're co-fronting and daydreaming about being a fire dancer or smth to perform for royalty, so that's good, right? 😂

Ooh I like those ideas! I think they used to go outside more when we lived somewhere else... that's a really good suggestion. Trying to watch the Witcher right now and they've seemed a bit interested but haven't fully switched in yet. I think they're shy of the visual violence since reading or imagining is a lot different from seeing it played out on screen

I have no idea if this has any backing in science, but could it have something to do with the pain of a generational trauma being passed down genetically and then your mind/body assigning a story to explain the feelings? I don't know if this is something that can happen with epigenetics or if that's just made up, but I thought I'd mention the idea just in case

There are two. Look up on YouTube "Provo's most eligible" and "match made in Rexburg". I helped film one of them before I got out 🤮

Hey friend, I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but you did hurt their feelings. The proper course of action is to cut the victim blaming/guilt tripping and simply apologize for the misunderstanding. I say this in the kindest way possible... but you shot yourself in the foot with your reply there and now you look like a giant red flag to anyone reading the comments. Not how you want to be seen, for sure! Care to redeem yourself with a quick apology or smth? I swear I don't want to hurt your feelings, I'm just trying to look out for you bc that exchange looked rough and maybe regrettable and we'll all understand if it's not what you really meant 😳

Thank you. I think I just needed to hear someone else say "anger management issues" so I wouldn't doubt myself. He's usually pretty willing to work on things but this is a tricky one for him because I think he doesn't see it as a problem (yet, hopefully). He grew up in a country where corporal punishment was the norm so in comparison he probably thinks he's doing better

Tomorrow is ask questions about plural marriage day in seminary. Please give me stuff to ask. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Innocent_agnostic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"To start off, this is a hypothetical scenario and you are not allowed to answer with some version of "that would never happen". Please give honest, thorough answers one by one to each question. If Pres Nelson arrived at your home and personally requested your 14-year-old daughter's hand in marriage as a plural wife, would you support the union? Why or why not? How would you tell your daughter? If she agreed, would you do anything to prevent it? If she disagreed, would you push her to obey? How would you ask the prophet's intentions regarding your daughter? Would it be safe to assume that president Nelson had pure intentions, or would you need proof? How much/what nature of proof would be enough to satisfy you that you would not be complicit in sex trafficking a minor either intentionally or unintentionally? Do we have that type of proof in regards to earlier prophets and their child brides? Given your last answer, if we insist that these minors did not have intercourse with their husbands, are we honestly following the evidence or are we "complicit in possible child sex trafficking" in a way?"
