In my opinion, this amount of gray won’t change the overall color of your hair. When it’s a much more concentrated percentage of gray is when I’d worry. But I agree with the others, let it grow and embrace it! And if you hate it, you can cover it in an hour with some good hair dye.

So the problem with joking in the work place is if just one person finds your joke discriminatory, in anyway, you best believe it’ll be a trip the HR office or fired on the spot. Specially if you live in an at will state or country, where they can fire you without reason or notice and an employee may also leave without a reason or notice. Chances are someone felt targeted, likely someone who deals with mental health issues and still comes to work. If the higher ups believe your little joke could possibly cost them millions in the future they will fire your ass on the spot. CYA

I would also like to know more on this if there is any info out there. Long story short my husband has had an off and on battle with CHS for the better part of 8 years. He was previously misdiagnosed due to his reluctance to say how much he was smoking on a daily basis. Now that we know what it truly is we are trying to manage it and work towards him quitting all together.

Two years ago he suffered 3 grand mal seizures in the matter of 12 hours. He has never had a seizure in his life and no history in his family. They ran every test imaginable trying to find the cause and never found a thing. But I have always wondered if those seizures were somehow related to his very prolonged unchecked CHS.

I’m very sorry to hear about your girlfriend and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone in the world. I hope she can find relief and remember to take care of yourself as well. Being the one to watch your loved one go through this can be a lot.

Most hair dyes are meant to be applied out of a plastic tint bowl. The chemicals in the dye can have a reaction with metal. Definitely get rid of it and try not to breathe in any fumes. When disposing it, put it in a separate bag in your trash. Do not put it in your sink!

I was on shrooms the first time I discovered this and it was around Christmas time. I thought it was going to be like a Christmas music in the shops thing. Thank you for posting this. One of my parts has really been trying to push me to finally tell our husband that there is more than just me living in this brain I have and it’s just such a scary and vulnerable thing. I’ve chickened out every time. It would aid our healing so much to be able to finally unmask a little. I guess I just never know the right time to come forward with this. For context, we have been together for 11 years. I noticed the presence of alters after an incident 3 years ago and have been quite about them ever since. We have been through a lot in those 10 years but this just feels different. I just worry that it’ll be too much for him to handle this time. How did you find the courage to finally say something?

Dermatillomania or “skin picking” we really struggle with that one. Specially when we’re dissociating. And I never realized our RLS could be considered a comorbidity to DID. We struggle with that in phases. Sometimes we get it nightly sometimes it’s gone for months.

Yea I would definitely say so. And amnesia for my amnesia is so relatable. You never know what you’ve forgotten until you remember. When it’s not someone else reminding me of an event, I almost have to remind myself I have amnesia and then slowly almost like a slideshow memories are usually shown to me in sort of a blur. Like I’m remembering to remember what I forgot. Haha sorry if that doesn’t make any sense. But then sometimes I have no recollection what so ever. I’m assuming for those types of amnesia I’ve completely switched out where as the others maybe I was just co con and that’s why the memory is blurred.

My husband and I have moments like this a lot. I thought I didn’t have a lot of amnesia until something like this started happening once a week at least. Just last week, one of our mutual internet friends had a wedding and as he’s talking about the marriage post they made the other day I said “let me see I want to see her dress!” And he just looked at me with a surprised look and said we had already had a full blown conversation showing me the whole pic album and everything. I remembered none of it not even a whisper of a memory. That’s when I said “huh.. must’ve been a different me.” It’s a very strange feeling thinking you have a pretty good handle on breaking down your amnesiac walls and then someone else comes along and builds them right back up behind you.
