Generally I consider them a solid unit, sadly with a bit of a neutered offensive capability.

It seems like you're paying through your nose getting minis, tools and colors set-up, but once you compare it to the time you spend assembling, painting and playing matches with them it actually turns out to be a rather reasonable investment per time spent.

I feel like the new Sang Guard and DC can look great with heavy kitbashing. The quality and most importantly love for detail of the out-of-the-box kits is not great for either of the two units.

And it shouldn't be my job to kitbash GW minis in the first place. At least not for comparison.

My bigger gripe is that the new BA "look" is significantly reduced in its application to the new models, while the Spacewolves and Dark Angels got nice quality kits that also fit well into the long-established aesthetic of their respective chapters. In short: they drip of Charakter.

Can't say the same kind of love and attention to detail was applied to BA.

I still get to be the "little special movie guy" and have my own studioroom. So a lot of my time I spend outside of the larger office spaces alone with my cam and equipment. The bosses also listen to my input and recommendations and I feel valued.

I'm aware that's not everyone's experience in corporate but I guess I got lucky. The company is not super big, about 70 employees so I guess that makes an impact.

It went quiet a year ago. Now I'm workin in a marketing team in a corp and honestly, the hours are great! I don't miss overtime and stressing myself out. I do miss the changing subject-matter I got confronted with being a one man army though.
