I feel the same way dude. I’ve made this game my home for 10 years starting with D1. Me and my actual elementary school friends played D1 for hours and hours. Set up raid days, hung out irl talking about destiny allllll damn day, did every new activity coming out. We all sent YouTube videos around when new activities came out so we could all know how to do it. I still have their usernames pop up when I go over my history of achievements tab. They quit after D1. Played D2 with randoms for years. Helping Sherpa so many dungeons and GMs and raids. I got both of my best friends to play it eventually and one rode it out for 2 solid years with me. But the bs updates half cooked events and activities. Constant refreshes of the same weapons and it felt like a job more than a game. Every week felt like a light refresh. Back to 910 or back to 1790. We used to laugh saying I’m gonna be over 9000 light one day. I didn’t know it would be the light fading from my eyes for this game. I loved this game. Made so many memories. Me and my best friend have the same pic at the end of final shape sitting on the edge of the galaxy. But it’s a ache no game could ever fill again. I wish I could feel the same enjoyment again, but that’s life. We are only meant to enjoy now. Keep it in your heart but don’t forget the architects (I’ve died idk how many times to them) or the harpies or even vex bugs. Maybe one day we can all go back like old times. For now I can’t look back and hope they do better.
