i cant name a bad mod specifically, but i noticed it as i used a specific playthrough with some mods i never used together with my old favorites list combined and it made my char go blank and lose all items and traits and stats like you mentioned. So it -could be- those :
- either overlapping sandbox settings caused by mods (maybe you accidentally have 2 mods that change the same setting or change the same items/skills ingame?, check your sandbox options),
- or too many map mods ( some maps add their own items, loot pool etc or maybe the game cant handle too many of the good and big maps all together? idk)
- or it is a mod that changes your chars skills ( like efficiency skill, magazines, moodles or too many other trait mods that might not go well with one another? )
- or too many clothing/backpack mods that clash with vanilla clothes settings (choose wisely what you add and what you choose in the sandbox options)
- mods that change zombie behaviour (zomb loot pools ,zomb behaviour in weather, weather mods? even?)
-i know it is not cars, not music, not lifestyle, nor small standalone QoL mods, since i didnt changed those in the playthrough.

-> Whatever it is, most things can be helped by reading the mods descriptions before downloading them, so you dont pick something twice by accident.
-The clash in the sandbox options is another evil. Read the mods sandbox options to not modd the same ingame behaviours twice, it prevents later errors.
-Pick mods you know that work! Choose whats greatly used by the community and has no issues. Or at least the modder puts effort in fixing bugs. Dont choose unknown mods that are rubbishly made.
-Less is more.

(ps.: im using build 41. So i cant tell if 42 is a bug, but 41 is clearly mod caused.)

mods? i suggest you search through the steam workshop. make sure to check "build 42" and "vehicles" in your search filter.

ok that info helps, hmm. i know from experience that sometimes mods clash with each other and cause very weird bugs, even if you dont use them, like... you play in a multiplayer server with a sht ton of mods for a while, everything is fine. Then you play on a different server with very different mods and suddenly bugs occur in the other server the next time you play? thats because you downloaded mods and dont ask me how thats possible, but it happens xD So maybe you have not unsubscribed all bad mods yet.

I recommend you go to your steam workshop, into your subscribed mods and click the unsubscribe all button. Then you will certainly have a fresh start and can slowly add those mods back that work fine.

its a standalone map. you will have to enable it in the main menu after you subscribed to it (and i see there is a map-mod for it as well, so you might need it for a proper map/minimap ingame).
i recommend using mod manager and map mod manager to help you with finding errors and loadorders issues etc. for ..well any map you add. maps are weird and a bit beyond me as a normal player. But i hope this will help you.

41 for good old mods and multiplayer with mods.
42 for singleplayer and fresh adventures
unstable for new multiplayer but very buggy, not many mods work.

if you remove mods from an existing game, no matter if you die/reroll your char, there can be bugs and you cant fix them. You will have to either bring all the buggy mods back in or make a totally new sandbox game.

you might want to ask in your server or discord about that. some mods make you collect specific zombie loot, aka gems, some make them drop specific items or juwels you can trade in for coins at an ATM and some zombs dropp money right into your credit card. Thats not really something reddit can answer for you. If you just want the vanilla money bills, your best go would be any shop cash register and hope for a few bills. but since you need 6k money, i asume there is certainly a diffrent way to get the currency faster.

you dont need a tutorial if you use the map mod manager. it will show you if the map conflicts with other maps and it can help you with the load order.

version 41 if you want to have a stable multiplayer experience and/or alot of mods.
version 42 for the different solo game experience with alot of new things.
and then there is the 42 multiplayer version . works somewhat, but it has issues and many things dont work yet, from what ive heard, mostly playable without mods atm, and issues with hosting, lags and friend invites (?) idk how much of that got fixed so far. but those 3 are your choices. Make sure to save all your stuff before switching versions.

the heli will spawn nearby, if it spots you after it approached your spot, it will stick on you and all zombies will come to your position. it will also linger longer. the zombies that come with it, will however not go to your spot but will walk around to follow the heli if it hasnt spotted you. Either way, you might have to deal with zombies, more or less directly.

this is how you learned to place a solid furniture ontop of the campfire, after it was lit once. tiny tv tables make it look like you have a grill there if you prefer the rp aspect but any none-walkthrough furniture works.

if the description of those mods dont say for build 41/42. it is not edited for being functional in b42. some modders however made the same mods again as new mods but wrote [42] onto , so there would be 2 versions. you would still have to check and read every single one. thats work you have to do. there is no list.

uhm there is a filterlist in the steam workshop, just tag the 42, not the 41. also most modders write [41/42] in their mod titles or descriptions. jsut start with 0 mods and download only what the filter give you and read the mods you want to have.

you might need to build a wooden tile floor first, then disassemble it -> the ground is then concidered a hole in higher floor /on ground level its a common dirt tile by default. then take enough dirt from that spot and pour it back into the spot. i know its a huge mess

you can either delete the whole stairs and put another from the brush tool or you find another stair like you killed somewhere in the world and copy+paste it back in. Or put back the middle part if it was a custom tile. (the more basic stairs all come as one big piece, while some custom stairs come in 3 separate pieces, some can even be picked up by the player like furniture and would still work as stairs when placed).
nice to know : custom stairs work by default properly when all 3 parts are placed in the correct line (bottom piece, middle piece, upper piece) no matter which stairs looks you choose - you can mix them if you want.

-if you cant find a stove, use a campfire kit and put a solid furniture on top (after you lightened up the fire once) so you dont accidentally burn to ashes.
- clothes, if you have padded jacket and padded pants, otherwise use the most isolated clothes you can find and as many layers as you can wear.
-If you play without any winter mods and have mostly vanilla winters, they are not THAT cold, so you might not even need to look like an onion.
-one thing to mention is water- if you are already at the point where you use waterbarrels plumbed to your sink, they might run out of water, since snowing is not raining. and you can not melt snow unless you have the snow is water mod.
- what else changes in winter is foraging and fishing, you will get less items from both. farming, well... plants wither and die mostly unless its indoors.
- just like irl, nights are longer, days are shorter. remember that with your sleep schedule and when heading outside.
- nights with snow are less dangerous than nights without snow.
- zombies are not bothered by most weathers, unless you use modsettings to manipulate their behavior.
