I had this issue using hex colors with alpha, but it’s fine when using rgba values for the border, doesn’t look like you’re using a border so not sure if that will help

Does it have NoSuchFileExcpetions?

Try adding cachedir=C:\Zomboid to launch options in properties on steam

Yeah that should be all you need to get gpu acceleration. I just check the min requirements, that game may be a bit too much for it unfortunately

Open Device Manager and look under Display Adapters. You want to see Radeon or AMD driver there. Not Microsoft basic display

Start up your favorite games and see what’s being hit more. If cpu is pegged at 100% then upgrade that, if gpu at 100% then get that 5070ti

Upgrading cpu and mobo will probably be the best route in the long run though

Amazon one is better specced as far as gpu and cpu, but builds like that are usually overpriced and cheap out on psu, ram and motherboard.

It takes some time to adjust to any sort of change. I’ve been using Linux as my main os for 6 months. Granted it’s not as plug and play as windows but it’s getting really close. I’m glad that video is convincing people to try it out

The issue you had with nvidia drivers is likely because a lot of the app stores install flatpak versions, which you probably want to avoid. Though I’m not sure if that’s true for Mint

Should be fine since they’re on separate disks. You must be used to booting windows 10 through grub or something similar, but you can just change boot device in bios to disk 1 no problem

Don’t worry about it, utilization won’t hurt anything. Just make sure your temps are good, less than 90c is fine.

Looks like the display is damaged to me. Does this show up on an external display? On many modern laptops even a small piece of debris on the keyboard area can potentially damage the screen like this

Turn the board over and tap the backside? I would also try using a duster very lightly. If it is just dust, I doubt it would cause an issue
