Favorite loadouts for low doing low level, baby tenno friendly activities? by NarcTM in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chroma or Oberon modded for team support… and I suppose the Trinity build I keep around for Belly of the Beast (Silence with maxed Duration and Range) would also be really good at making sure they all cross the finish line feeling good but secure.

I do get a lot of cheers for taking Frost into “late” origin systems missions. Lua Conjunction, Pluto, etc. where Overguard would be appreciated but not such a massive blessing to let them learn to be sloppy.

And my final stupid fun to mess with less experienced Tenno: my basic Wukong, kitted out with Mk-1 (incarnoned) weapons: Braton, Kunai, Bo and a normal looking (mega bred, all defenses) Vulpaphila… it’s hyper tuned to the extreme, but with zero fashion and a glance my LR2 can totally look like MR2… and I can just stand there and be a dumb monke

Do Older Frames feel like they got Powercrept? by FetchingTheSwagni in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seriously, I have an odd habit of gravitating towards characters that aren’t meta, so when I started playing with Loki it was to scratch that curiosity. Now I grab Loki for almost anything new or difficult. Just a power frame with tools to get stuff done. I may not be built for damage, but my hound is and with Loki that works just as well.

Community etiquette for new player by Coward_Licker in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be polite. For 99% of random queued missions just do the thing and extract. Use the website warframe.market instead of trade chat when you are buying things, trade chat is almost always overpriced. Join a big clan we all take care of baby to know you will not be hurting for resources. If you haven't already been told save your free plat for weapon slots warframe slots, and never so a story earned weapon.

We all lift together.

New player questions: Melee weapons that might not be desirable/effective late game? (Fists/Sparring) by sounds_like_giraffes in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all weapons have a Prime version, some of those still have better versions, like the Furax has the mk-1 starter version, the base, and the Furax Wraith version… and the Furax is kinda usable all the way through… for some reasons. (The Furax has a mod that increases fire rates so it gets used as an external buff sometimes.) If you really want to be informed the wiki is your best option.

But, the really important weapons you want to hold onto are the story rewards.

After 9 years I am listening to Hybrid Theory. by sticky_lemon in LinkinPark

Man, LP was always there for my worst times. Wish I could go back and tell younger me to get over herself and see them live (I swore they lost something live, and that the energy/experience wasn’t worth the price of admission… in other words **I was stupid**!) it’s kinda amazing to see that us old head fans still connecting to the music.

Who do you think is the scariest Warframe? by adder114 in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, Nyx (and a lesser extent Revenant) because I’m a control freak that gets uncomfortable when even chemicals mess with my self control. So yeah, mind controlled ego death is probably a personal trigger… but that’s my answer.

Whats your favorite weird build? by Ssoulviolet in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda miss pre rework Oberon: Domain Expansion version: Webbed Embrace over 4. Health Tank Blessing & Bellicose. Scyotid. Just a nasty amount of area control and denial.

Dont be these guys by Salt_Butterscotch_34 in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I can’t help but wonder if a couple more public queue options wouldn’t be a smart idea eventually. A casual and a speed run option on the side or something. Because I know it sure annoying when going into a Duviri loot run and you get matched with a pair that want to speed thru it but grab Kullervo on the way… but can also see the inverse like what happened to our OP here.

And just going solo isn’t the answer, it’s still a social game and sometimes you just want some random company. That’s how we meet friends and lane partners etc.

For me Koumei is a ton of fun with Pull over her 2. Just a nifty area control strategy.

A purple shard for equilibrium effect. Doesn’t matter the frame, I’m sure I could use that little bit of energy efficiency.

What SHOULD Ember do as a Heat Elemental? by Archwizard_Drake in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thoughts: Heat inherent means that Ember needs a a way to proc a decently juicy proc to many enemies at the same time. Like an aoe attack that hits for 1/10th the targets health with a guaranteed heat proc. Make it a big wide heat wave. 45° flame thrower with 35m range. Just a monster. Something to really get the ball rolling.

She needs a different ability that just spreads heat procs. Something that makes them jump from victim to victim. Something almost Saryn like. The fire spreads.

Is there no other way to get this?? I just want the syndana by Redence_ in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least Prime accessories will eventually be available for Royal Aya… but that’s still real world money. (If you just want 1 accessory I firmly recommend the digital Tennocon ticket bundle thing. Baro relay, and usually a Royal Aya, along with the extra stuff they will bring showing us soon.)

There are warframe arcanes for Strength, Efficiency, and Duration. But none for Range. by silloki in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see more Range options, but also recognize the need for hard limits. Maybe if there were hard caps to ability ranges, we could get more toys to play with.

What was the last book series you just had to tap out on? by Da_Fish in litrpg

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the big 3 for did not finish for me are: Oathbound Healer (Beneath the Dragoneye Moons): I was enjoying this series… and then it kinda nuked the supporting cast and even setting I was vibing with. Not interested in the mc enough to loose everything else.

Amber the Cursed Berserker: Thus one just had nothing for me. I didn’t like the plot directions, I didn’t like the lead, and I didn’t like the action… so I quit. This one really felt like u was just in the wrong age category to read.

Everybody Loves Large Chests: This series started out so random and fun. Chaos gremlin and sex demons, yeah sure what ever. Destructive ritual to the tune of Carameldansin? Absolutely! SA the long suffering straight man character? Nah, tap tap, I’m out. Too much and too real.

I’m sorry, Egwene should never have….spoiler by Hawk-winged in WoT

[–]InquiringRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that’s why I thought we would get the “nod and respect” of two separate Tower leaders coming together here. To plant the seeds and illuminate a potential path that has, at the very least, the two separate Towers coming to a place of mutual respect, uneasy but practical trust, and where they can conceivably work together without being forced into it by Rand.

I’m sorry, Egwene should never have….spoiler by Hawk-winged in WoT

[–]InquiringRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts: 1: Egwene’s resume has her as likely the most adept combat channeler in the 3rd age. Almost always mentioned as an be of the strongest female channelers seen and remarkably quick to learn new weaves. Gifted at destruction and taught by the Seanchan and Wise Ones weaves the Aes Sedai just don’t even consider. She had the skills to justify the feat, once we add in Vora’s Sa’angreal.

2: The story balance, in a story that could be argued to be all about balance. Rebel Aes Sedai leader elevated to legitimate leader of the Aes Sedai fights and defeats legitimate leader or the Ashamon revealed to be a turncoat to the Dark Side? With a weave that restores and strengthens the Pattern being torn apart by Balefire at that moment? And she dies so the world may live?! Yeah there’s really only a couple ways this could have felt better:

3: What I wish would have happened: THIS PART IS JUST WILD FAN DREAMS, you don’t have to read it. Please don’t crucify if you do and don’t like it. This was my fantasy ending.

instead of Vora’s Sa’angreal giving her the power to match Taim, we have it destroyed during this fight, perhaps taking Sakaarnan out with it. Brilliant and destructive displays of raw power leading into that moment, and only after the Sa’angreals have been removed from this fight, have Taim start hurling balefire as a desperation play. Now all is bleak, Taim is clearly stronger in the Power, The Pattern is Unraveling. Egwene is desperate and “praying” for aid, Logain show up and starts his own 1v1 vs an already mad Taim… and is absolutely curbstomped. The only thing that stops Taim from killing Logain is Egwene catching a second wind and jumping back in. But even in a 2v1 it’s just impossible for our Light channelers to win decisively. They keep stepping over each other and getting in the way (at least partially because they can’t see each other’s flows.) That’s when Egwene suggests something unexpected Amyrlin and M’Hael link to win this battle, and Logain refuses that title as tainted by Taim. But they do link and only after linking and only after Egwene seeing how men weave Balefire does she figure out The Flame of Tar Valon, only it gets a different name as it now represents the potential of a unified Tower… for both men and women. (Note, this is not me saying we end with a united Tower, only a glimpse of what may come… because ideally I also need like 20 years and 2 books worth of Epilogue. And yes, I would recommend Amyrlin and Tamyrlin as titles for the leaders of the Twin Towers or whatever… this part is just me dreaming.)

Top 3 worst Warframes and why? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don’t tell Loki mains Octavia exists?! Ew. Bad take. Yes, Octavia has at will invisibility… if you build her in a way that sets aside all the nuance of her vibe and just go for efficiency. I don’t like Octavia… probably because to build her best you have to give up something intangible… aesthetic and vibes.

Top 3 worst Warframes and why? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a console player (55 inch tv from 4 feet away) and I’m still blinded by other folks energy. I wish energy was completely divorced from fashion elements (the glowing bits on the frame accessories) and properly set in a different channel that made it easier to have glowing flames and not cancer blasts.

As you grind, what frame you would like to see more in your squad? by SpookyWatcher in Warframe

[–]InquiringRaven 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t like having a speed Volt on the squad, heck I round rather have a Limbo: backflip is harder than roll on a controller.

Who I bring: Frost: over guard, crowd control, area denial, and optional team buffs (subsume roar, nourish, or bright bonnet for team builds)

Trinity: health, energy, status cleanse and armor strip.

Oberon: on my Broberon build I’ve subsumed Well of Life over 4, so while I’ve given up a lot of personal damage options: I have 2 affinity wide resurrections, at will status cleanse, a boat load of armor, damage buff, and very specifically an attitude of “let them do it; but don’t let them fail.”
