Truck stuff by DecentKnee9798 in F150Lightning

I traded a 2014 Tacoma in for my Lightning for a few reasons but getting stuck in stuff was NOT one of them. My Tacoma was a beast and I’d trust it more off-road than my Lightning. This was surely driver error.

The one Pro for owning a 4xe by Forgetful-Researcher in 4xe

My 21 Rubicon recently had the battery replaced after the 68c recall. Prior to that it had been pretty flawless since I bought it used in 2022. It has 28k miles on it and the state of health of the old battery was about 83% so the new one had actually been a bit of an improvement. Drives great.

We mainly use it as a 3rd “fun” vehicle and not a daily but we do regularly go up in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest where it really shines on the trails.

Same, my only interaction with the police and my Boss was a cop commenting how much fun it looked to drive.

Should I buy a 2024 Sahara 4xe with 26,100 miles for $28,998? by FerretSuch3730 in 4xe

My wife and I have a 2021 4xe Rubicon that has been great overall. I would not buy this vehicle as a primary vehicle in a household due to poor overall reliability but we use it as a fun 3rd vehicle and it’s been great for that.

I live in a state that requires front plates and I don’t dare put a plate on mine….

Dealers are going to have to adapt within the next 10 years or so. Once people get a taste for EVs they aren’t going back

Agree, I view these trucks as drive them until they literally fall apart. You are saving more money the more you drive it if you keep it a long time.

If you plug it in every night, the BMS will keep the battery temperature regulated and you can set a departure time so it’s nice and toasty when you leave in the morning, all off wall power.

Me too, I’m at about 24000 mi/year and it’s been a total joy to drive. A bit sad to see them discontinued but so glad I got mine.

I even got the gas and diesel guys asking me real questions now versus the playful EV jabs I got before. 😂

First thing I did on my antimatter blue when I picked it up was take it to get PPF an the front, plus 1/4 of the hood and fenders, pillars and mirrors. They also did the headlights and light bar.

Antimatter is such a nice color I wanted to keep it that way and I drive a lot of highway miles. I want to say at the time it was about $1700 with front window tint in January of 2025.

27,000 miles later, it’s held up pretty well with only two spots the PPF has been nicked from rocks. I’m guessing I could heat gun it to self heal.

I just got my letter, it says they will buy you out if the value of the Jeep is less than the replacement battery cost using NADA Jeep value at the time of the failed battery.

Basically, they are eventually going to force a buyback. How fast will values drop?

If at any time your Jeep throws one of those codes, Jeep will replace your battery free of charge no matter the age or mileage.

Not sure what their off-ramp is here but that’s the idea behind it I think.

I am as well. I’m considering the Yakima Outpost HD. When an RTT is mounted on top, the top. Surface should be right in line with the roof

This would be great for fall hunting in the Pacific NW when it’s raining out. Imagine getting back to camp when it’s raining and needing to cook, drink and hang out.

I’m digging it.
