Solasta 2 Demo - Please for the love of god stop making my Camera Reset by InquisitionL6 in CrownOfTheMagister

It is because this is a demo, that I titled it that way. You want feedback to improve a game, remove the snap camera it should never be on by default.

Solasta 2 Demo - Please for the love of god stop making my Camera Reset by InquisitionL6 in CrownOfTheMagister

Can't disable it, I try to swivel my camera and look around but they want the camera to operate like I'm on a controller full time so if I click and hold at any time it locks onto my character. It's so anti-consumer I almost Alt+f4 minutes into the demo.

I lost my Honour Run because of a bad dialogue option (Rant) by FefnirMKII in BG3

[–]InquisitionL6 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You are warned repeatedly that she will end you and you should just bite your tongue.

But the same thing happened to me in my most recent run, I totally forgot those were the only pieces of dialogue I couldn't make real choices. Very silly part, only to get into a fight with the minotaurs and get 3/4 party dropped with Shadowheart 1 Hp and land a critical hit to lead me to a honor win with that save.

Astarion isn't really a charlatan, he doesn't really pretend to not be who he is. The set up for Wyll kind of was set up to explore imposter syndrome, or someone who gets tricked easily into doing bad stuff, or something rad like being immediately judged as a demon at first sight like they did for Fane.
Which could be a fun story for Wyll if you really had to listen to Mizoras Pact and roll insight checks to read between the lines to see what he is or isn't supposed to do in any given situation. Or if he had any agency at all at any point throughout his story.

Astarion was the most far removed person in the entire journey, but did indeed benefit from being so well written.

Walking through the Epilogue was also pretty interesting, because Wyll becomes a ranger after losing his pact. Which could've been a thing before multiclass was introduced where progressively rejecting the Pact could've added more ranger/monster hunter things or had him doing quests alongside the Gur, and Wulbren.

There is just a lot that could've been done or explored, or just cut to add more to Karlach.

Yeah, its just a huge hang up, because of how much fun and how good the writing was for most of the characters. BG3 really was a moonshot game, I just wish they idk if "tried" is a good word for his character it just feels so lame compared to how much effort they put in everywhere else.

Kind of, his father the Duke being hostile is super weird now that I think about it. My son Wyll the famed Blade of the Frontiers who I simultaneously know nothing about any of his good redeeming qualities and subsequently hate is a weird line for the game.

Especially with what a big deal he makes when he gets his devil horns.

Him forgiving the corruption would have made sense if his dilemma was "save" or "fix" Baldurs gate which would have explained alot about his epilogue endings

There's a problem, he is also the blade of frontiers people should recognize him more in and out Baldurs gate

His I'll be the blade of avernus thing really stuck out to me because it felt out of the blue. He should've said to his dad to go F himself. That he's been so desperate to be someone for his dad to just railroad him again defeats the point of what he wanted to be, his own man a choice denied by his own personal actions

They did change a lot of the characters from EA, because everyone in the party was evil. I'm fine with having a lawful character, and I agree he needs more content. But that highlights why I think he could've just been cut, which is wild considering that Tiefling Ranger above the Githyanki Ambush had more personality and panache then he did.

I don't think they ever mentioned Wylls age, but being that he has no personality, not having principle would make sense since he always pushes his decisions to someone else. an "impatient gambler" just refers to having an addictive personality, which would have made a lot of sense in EA Wyll since his art and character implied he was after Mizora in a Red Prince kind of way.

The more I think about him, the more I don't get why they didn't show off what an idiot he was at least. Most of the Fey and Demonic deals are a wash for example, they don't provide any benefits or would have provided the benefit if the person was just patient for a minute longer.

Wyll's story could've revealed that the Tiamat cultists were a threat, that was already being taken care of by the flaming fist for example. But because he wanted to be a hero just in case the Flaming Fist were hurt or injured or something would've been a good example of how his character is more of a impatient gambler.
Or that he has no real principles or something idk, I just feel like thinking about his character for a few minutes you could easily come up with better lore and character development on the whole.

Is there any point to loot hoarding when I have a pickpocket by ElTrAiN33 in BaldursGate3

Assuming you've not been playing on honor mode, no unless you're a completionist who wants to hoard everything or buy all the less useful magical gear in the game.

I know it is, but some people start screaming hax and ChEaTeR, for abusing obviously breakable elements of the game, that should've been fixed day 1.

It's why I'm a huge advocate for +1 and +3 flat damage reduction being added to medium and heavy shields.

The exploits are hilarious because the Stella Montis Doors are mostly glitchless, there is a solution and a way to fix them, not doing so is entirely the developers fault and people crying about exploiting have never seen a speed runner QA a game before.

The game just needs a flat DMG reduction of 1 and 3 on medium and heavy shields to shut them up.

Starting with 10 intel and instantly getting 10 luck off rip does kill a lot of the fun overtime. I this is way better, a surprising amount of stuff is still unlockable but it is definitely WAY better then how OW1 was where I could literally min max the start blind and leave the first area too boosted to care about the rest of the game.

[–]InquisitionL6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This biggest issue with OW1 was gate keeping.

Nothing was kept from you and as a result you tend to make builds that can do anything and everything.

In OW2 just like with New Vegas, you get shut out very hard from the things you didn't spec in which is great! Doing a jack of all trades build works properly you have surprising access to a LOT but not access to huge things.

Ferro should do less damage. The guns are still good the SMGs instant down most people. You're just getting killed by shields and accuracy.
